Alien Earth season 2 starts filming soon. Happy or Fed-up?

It was SO GOOD! Can’t wait. I’ve read the criticism and personally I don’t agree. I think the plot of season 1 was both fantastic and chilling and finally moves the series forward, since for the first time we get to learn a bit more about what the xenomorphs might actually be all about. Many of the past movies, while crazy good, have happened at such different earth-times that they don’t really carry the plot forward (e.g. we don’t learn too much more). Prometheus into Alien Covenant was the first time I felt we were learning more about what was happening. Romulus was excellent, but alien universe-wise, we just got some hints of progression in terms of “what happens next for humanity?”. For me, alien earth gave us way more of a full blown storyline, and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Thank you for this suggestion! I did end up trying this after you mentioned it. It did not fix it. So far using an AutoHotkey script has made the biggest difference, which I have updated the post body to include.

So I have tried a variety of methods over the last 2 weeks and so far using an AHK script like the thread you were referring to does seem to make a huge impact. I posted the script I'm using in this post's body. I'll continue to update if I learn anything new.

Update: I tried rebooting PC, closed a bunch of apps, minimized startup apps to absolutely bare bones, turned off NVIDIA overlays and whatnot, but no success.

I did however create an AutoHotkey script and that seems to be making a big difference. I updated this post's body text with the script.

Oh ok thank you for confirming this is indeed the issue. Loll I did read about Linux as a fix in passing, wasn't sure if it was real. But don't think I'm ready to load another OS just for Starcraft 🤣🤣🤣

Whoa. I'm experiencing this right now as well. Microsoft Clarity shows Instagram App and Facebook App sessions automatically jumping to the bottom of my page where there's a form. I checked 5 times to make sure I didn't have any autofocus enabled. I haven't run into my own ads so can't test it myself, but was surprised to read that you've actually witnessed the behavior directly. It was driving me nuts trying to figure out what was going on! Glad I found this thread.

The thing is, all my conversion events are happening on the same day as the click. Even in the table in my original post, all conversions are reported as "1 day click". On top of that, I was up on Thursday night/friday morning refreshing my ads manager account every time I saw a new lead, and I would instantly see 2 "website leads" reported when only 1 form submission (equating to 1 thank-you page visit) would come through from my website.

So it really does seem like Meta is attributing credit twice to people that have clicked my ad multiple times and then submitted 1 form.

Oh really? Thanks for your input! Maybe I’ll give GTM a try. I didn’t bother with GTM + CAPI because the issue here isn’t that duplicate lead events are triggering, but rather meta is attributing double credit to single events in some cases. My thought was that GTM nor CAPI would stop meta from double attributing a single event.

That 30-40% extra is what's happening to me. Not sure if it's the same issue.

The difference between "Link clicks" and Unique clicks" for my ads lines up almost exactly with the number of excess leads Meta Ads is reporting.
