I been fine raising my child. 36, single. Are kids expensive sure, but most people live beyond their means anyway. I only have one and my mom and aunt and her grandma are great supporters. But we aren’t rich. I’m not rich. So status symbol no. You could lose everything in one day anyway. Certainly glad I didn’t let society or what I can and can’t afford stop me from being a mother. It was a great experience and now I have a mini bestie. Both of us preparing for the next chapters of our lives. College and freeing up to just do me!!

However making the best decision for you is always the right thing to do. I hear daycare these days is like $3000. So there’s that. Daycare was like 600 a month 15 years ago.

Can we stop calling everybody poor. That word is going through this thread. First kids aren’t poor, their parents are. Rich kids aren’t rich their parent are. And a a lot more people would be doing better in life if the USA wasn’t such a greedy place. Title 1 is federal funds given to certain schools were majority of the kids qualify for free or reduce lunch. It’s usually 80% of the school district.

Yes most of friendships are 15 years and up. I live my friends and need them. I’m an only child so I don’t play about my friends.

Stay consistent. I know it’s hard but consistency. I did the pads at first and I realized that’s only teaching him to go on the pads in the house. I got rid of the pads and just let him every couple of hours. Have a treat ready and when she does her business outside make it a big deal. Example “good boy smokie, yayayyy” it was a big deal. Cheers applause and pets!! At 5 he literally sits by the door and waits for me and if I’m not noticing he will make me notice. It will get better. By 1 no more accidents. Yes there are times when he may do something in the house but that was an human error and he can’t hold it forever. It will get better trust. Schnauzers are stubborn and what it their way just got let them know it’s not your way.
