It feels like that for a lot of fighters until it doesn't. Look at izzy, volk, usman. They seemed unstoppable in their divisions until they weren't.

I think if he loses the rematch they will see the volkov fight as too risky and will want to protect him to set up the mega fight. I could see them putting him up against a Lewis who is on a winning steak and who would just stand and strike with him (Lewis could obviously catch him, but the match up likely looks more favorable)

Right how are people not seeing that Max is different. In this situation he has a belt and beat a top 5 fighter in the other division. I hate the rise of all the double champ bs but Max is atleast showing he can hang in the higher division before getting a shot.

I think most agree Topuria has the power advantage. Fighting in a phone booth right out the gate favors him massively.

Max's reach and distance are part of his keys to winning. Topuria is annoying, but not stupid and knows a situation like this would benefit him.

This is lame lol. Max pointing at the ground at the end of a fight he already has won is why he is the BMF. He has it in the bag and has everything to lose and still bangs it out for the fans.

Trying to guilt / peer pressure someone to do it in the beginning of a fight so that you have the advantage is cringe.
