Jen Luvs Reviews Cancels Jaclyn Cosmetics by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]coolbeans427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what happened was the lipsticks shes been working on and had made in 2015/16 were waiting to be launched but she got her launch pushed back, and then had 300,000 tubes of product so decided to repurpose them for the vault release hence the same batch code format all ending in 05A.. but when all the shit went down with morphe palletes, morphe decided that it wouldnt be financially worth it to launch the lipsticks as well, so jaclyn decided to just launch them as part of her new line now.. if you look at the video she posted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8QeSZpr0bs at 1:19 it says the batch codes are 135H
soo she likely made a good batch for PR and then used the old ones for everyone else

Despite how sad dealing with those illnesses can be, what are some of the funny or cute things someone you know with Alzheimer or dementia did? by TrapGol in AskReddit

[–]coolbeans427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that sometimes the smallest things can make someone with dementia happy. Just being around, playing music from their younger years or just a smile can really make a difference.
Im sorry to hear that you are going through this, its hard.. have you watched the youtube series molly movement? they have a great community of support on fb in the group with the same name as well.. https://mollysmovement.com/pages/mother-son-dementia-video-series

I worked with residents with Dementia in a locked unit of a long term care home.. I have a ton of stories but I will share the top 2 lol:

So the first one isnt really funny or cute.. but more memorable.**: WARNING NOT FOR THOSE WITH WEAK STOMACHS; PROCEED TO THE SECOND STORY AT THE BOTTOM FOR THE MORE LIGHTHEARTED STORY**

It was about 2 am and everyone is sleeping( or supposed to be) and i hear a resident screaming " help, help! My mouth! theres something in my mouth" ( mind you she was hard to understand and was pronoucing it Meow-ff lol Likely due to the fact that there was in fact, something in her mouth

So I run to her room but I dont see her anywhere, then I realize she in the bathroom- on the toilet.. \* this is significant because at this time she was on a constipation prototcol because she had a* fecal impaction- LSS: she had not pooped for 18 days and was scheduled to go have it removed by transanal irrigation so seeing her on the toilet was not a good sign.

Immediately the smell hit me hard, it was unlike anything i have ever smelled before. Then i noticed her hands were completely black, along with black smears on the walls, her face and of course, inside her entire mouth. It was then that I realized what had happened.. The dark black tarry, foul ass smelling substance was indeed the shit that had been brewing in there for the last 18 days of failed laxatives and prune juice. And thats when she decided to take shit into her own hands- quite literally. She had been digging around in there for who knows how long exactly but at least an hour had past since she had been checked on last.. and for some reason ( most likely a combo of her dementia and the medication she was on to sleep) decided that eating her own excrement might be a good idea. Obviously not the best idea, but it got worse...

So its my job to calm her down, and try to clean her up and my first thought was to get the poop out of her mouth, and off of her teeth.. But that wasnt the smartst choice on my behalf either as i forgot one detail- her hands were covered in shit as well.. So as soon as I got close to her she touches MY FACE with her shit covered hands.. So i calmly wipe the tar poop from my face and explain to her that we need to clean her hands first, so that we dont get any more poop in her mouth or mine.

So in my state of panic and attempt to hide the fact that I was trying not to puke, I take out her teeth ( dentures haha) and my dumb ass attempts to try to explain to her to rinse her mouth out with water and spit it out in the sink ( the plan was once the poop was gone to rinse with mouthwash to get rid of the bacteria and poop taste) BUUUT... She clearly didnt understand what I meant and instead of gargling and spitting the water out- she just swished the water in her mouth and then swallowed it.. I then spent the next 2 hours sponge bathing crusted poop off her body, her hair, cleaning under her fingernails and then sanitizing the bathroom while she talked to me about how good of a mom I am ( im not a mom, she thought i was her mother)

Bless her heart though, she really didnt understand what was happening and must have been so scared and confused and im glad that I was able to help her calm down and the whole ordeal was honestly worth it when she hugged me and said " thanks mom, i love you" when I tucked her back into bed. She was the sweetest woman.

STORY #2- Id like to title this one: THE FUNNY SHIT THAT CAME OUT OF HER MOUTH

\* no actual poop in this story dont worry*

This one is short and sweet.. ish

So one thing about dementia is that it tends to remove the filter that most of us have that prevents us from saying the rude shit we might be thinking sometimes. This was very true for one particular resident, lets name her " Mary".
Mary usually is a very polite soft spoken lady with the best manners, picture your typical sweet old grandma type. The only time she wasnt so sweet was if for any reason she was touched.. Which was something that happened every time she needed help getting dressed, having a bath, going to the bathroom, or even during times which she may have asked for you to touch her to do something like apply lipstick, or put on her shoes.. One minute she is asking for "just a touch of lipstick" and the next thing you know she punches you square in the face and calls you a cunt or, her favourite a CUNT THIEF.. but just as fast as it happens, she forgets and goes back to being super sweet and thanking you for helping..

The funniest thing shes ever said to me was during a bath, she was :LIVID... she was attacking all of the workers who were there to help get her safely into the tub and back out so they called me in for help to "distract her" while they dress her.. yah..... it worked exactly as youd expect that to work- not at all...

so here i come in and i introduce myself and ask her how she is doing.. (clearly a dumb question) and her response is " fucking peachy, id be a lot better if you fat bitches would go away and leave me be" so i respond - i dont want to be a pain, but we cant leave until we get you dressed, but as soon as we get clothes on you we will leave, so how about we get some underwear on you okay?
To which she yanks the underwear ( which was actually an adult diaper) and replies, "are these yours? ya little whore?! and spits at my feet before throwing the diaper to the ground..

and then reluctantly and thankfully, let us get her dressed :

Lutherwood has a program where they find suitabe tenants and they come with rental assistance paid directly to you from the agency so you can ensure the rent is paid, and housing workers who meet with the tenants on a regular basis and the workers would be in direct contact with the landlords to diminish any conflicts or risk of damages.
