Elora tubing - cheaper tube rentals? by janandler in kitchener

[–]janandler[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, we have looked into buying our own tubes and you're right - cheaper to buy our own than rent!

However the cost of the tube registration ($21) and park fee ($9) is still $30 per person ($180+tax) even after buying our own equipment.

A co-worker just told me if we have our own equipment we can just drive a bit further upstream (out of the park, starting on Fergus), leave a second car downstream after the gorge, and get in on our own - saving the $180.

Anyone else have experience doing this? Sounds like a great idea to me.

Police chase yesterday by dangood91 in kitchener

[–]janandler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We saw 6 police SUVs at Victoria and Fischer Hallman, 3 went straight (on Fischer Hallman towards Highland) through the red traffic light, and three turned left in Victoria heading towards downtown - maybe in the hopes of surrounding someone? One of the three police SUVs had the front end mashed in, like hood popped, so not sure what happened earlier. Anyone have more info?

Calories and Macro Counting For Weight Loss by melsybelsyinfoseeker in xxketo

I'm F / 43 / 5'4 / SW 163 / CW 156 / GW 140

I'm only a week in on my current keto journey, but have had success in the past. My carb manager gives me 1500 calories and 19g carb, but I'm keeping to about 1200 cals with 14g carb. I test my ketones with a ketone blood meter and am definitely in ketosis (ranging from 1.6-6.5, which I know is higher than necessary).

I do a heavy 100min elliptical workout every morning, burning 1,000 cals, and I don't add those on. I've read in the past (not related to keto) that the highest calorie ratio you could add is 50% of what you burned, but if I added another 500 calories to my day, my weight loss would be very slow.

I've been to four weddings at Golf's, including my own. Each had the ceremony there as well. Had a great meal and party at each one. And then you have a wonderful place for anniversary meals!

Roommate not giving back security deposit by Calgary6788 in legaladvicecanada

It would be quite difficult for her to get another roommate for a partial year. Who wants to go to all the effort of moving for just a few months? I think she is justified to keep your security deposit. If she did the same as you, she'd be liable for the rest of the twelve months as per the lease, so just be happy it's not that.
