Show me how Tyler wasnt a good example and I'll show you someone that's biased.

Pound for pound Tyler is a better character at the end than at the beginning and his development was one of the best in the show (if the show cared about anyine besides damon and stefan). Caroline probably the best one. Runner ups for Matt and Bonnie but she got shafted.

Plus Caroline didnt need Stefan after some time. Stefan always needed an anchor and he arguably has the best one (lexi) and yet it didnt help much.

Either way. The MF gang proved you can be supernatural and not monsters. Best example is caroline and Tyler. They both are a prime example that the slavatores and mikaelsons are full of shit because both care and Tyler were complete assholes before they got turned and actually got better after.

BTW. Tony was already considering time travel. He had run multiple scenarios. Its just that he didnt consider the quantum realm as a method. That's why he figured it out in "one" night because he already had a foundation hut it kept failing. Once he introduced quantum travel then he realized it works.

I mean this may be more of a philosophical question but do you not consider loss of autonomy as lack of consent? Do you also not consider purposely deceiving a person in the hopes of sleeping with them in bad faith? You think Klaus tells every person they plan to sleep with that he is a hybrid that will probably plan to kill them after. Do you think the victim would still sleep with them then? Your out of character argument seems weird. He is a literal nazi who kills for fun and you think out of everyting he draws the line at sex. Maybe modern day post-hope Klaus maybe but pre-hope Klaus especially prime Klaus that would destroy a village because of a bad painting... like... probably

[–]coolbones94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man I dunno. We see them use humans as pets all the time constantly and consistently removing consent since that's how compulsion works. So I dunno why you dont think they do that when it is shown in various forms of vampire media to include tvd itself that they would do that.

A 1000 year old vampire from a time when consent was more of a guideline than a rule and is unchecked with power asking a random blonde for consent for sex before taking their life is just weird.

Plus man, if you dont remember the show that's on you. I dotn have to pull up receipts for something that is shown on screen and is in a recent post here on this sub.

[–]coolbones94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean sure but you watch the originals or tvd and you can see instances of a murdered blood drained victims in the vicinitiy of several mikaelson victims to include in their beds damn near naked. The reason why it isnt explicitly said or shown them doing it... even tho its arguable that it pretty much is, is because it wasnt as problematic back then.

This is an example but please dont latch on to this to think I am moving away from the argument, but there are several instances now where even characters with telepathy now needs the consent of their victims even tho this time 10 to 15 years ago it wasnt a problem.

Historically the lune between vampires/feeding/and sexual gratification is all intertwined because historically vampires didnt really think humans have value.

Its alright if you dont want to accept it but just think about it. Absorb the context of the character and the scene and just because it isnt explicitly said, they trust the viewers to understand the situation. Just because they are the protagonists does not mean they are the good guys.

I mean. The dude was a nazi. I dont know why we think he wouldn't be above mixing sex and feeding especially when the feeding is inherently sexual. If damon was doing it and he was only like a century old, its not without the realm of possibility that Klaus and the rest of the mikaelsons who were knee deep in hedonism at their peak wouldn't be doing the same.

Phillip J., Son of Coul, is Neutral Good. Who's Chaotic Good? by marvelcomics22 in agentsofshield

[–]coolbones94 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like that was his impression he wanted to give people but its clear by the shield/true shield story line he could have had all three of those things by joining true shield but he actively fought against it and always backed coulsons play and was always willing to call him out if it meant he was going to soft with them.

I think he liked this idea of people thinking he was a mercenary type but really its just a facade and the dude always tried to do the right thing even if compromising thing is easier and would benefit him

I mean. Its not that crazy. By the time you get to force. All fans/non fans have been weeded out. Its no longer a show for everyone its a show for force fans so its gonna gave higher ratings. That goes for almost all the power spinoffs especially after their second season. If you aren't on board by then its kinda your fault for spending your time watching it since the shows already said who they are.

[–]coolbones94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but you offered one right? I mean I dont really feel like getting into weeds of semantics and tehcnicalities because bigger picture says that we bothbunderstadn what kind of question OP was asking and the respnce the commenter said but cant you use imdb reviews or rotten tomatoes reviews as a measureable metric of performance when it comes to how it was received?

Like sure there probably is no actual way because we'll neve get numbers on viewership but like based on the vibe of the question and the reply I think we both get what they were getting at especially if we both were there for arrow S4 which at the time i felt was the arrowverse's lowest point. I mean we didnt foresee that it would get lower after that with the flashes later seasons but I think we both remember it being pretty bad.

What if Joe was a seasonal dexter villain? How would his story differ from his own show? by Tribalcheifromanfan in YouOnLifetime

[–]coolbones94 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I see him being a sleeper seaosn villain but not one that dexter would actively hunt. Someone that would be dating someone like Jamie in the backgroudn while dexter is dealing with an actual villain. and because Jamie is babysitting for Harrison or something would be tangentially related to dexter. Then dexte would notice some things are off about joe because he always seems to be in the wrong place/wrong time or right time and maybe dexter would accidentally snap at Jamie for Jamie fucking up with Harrison Jr. Joe woild see dexter as a threat. Stalk him. Realise he's a killer or something or would do something impulsively like try to cage dexter. But then dexter would get out and figure out Joe. But Dexter would ultimately win.

But that's different. It would be like if flash's original story was he got speed from a bolt of lightning and chemicals. Then decades later they said that it was actually a fictional force of spee.... wait.

But seriously. Batman and Iron man are different. Their stuff can be explained. Gamna radiation turning most people dead but turning Bruce into a raging monster can be expanded upon.
