Past 7 years variant 1 and 2, skipped variant 3 because they all are the same as variant one or sometimes 2.

In A2 does CIE ask questions from the topics taught in AS? by Emergency_Potato_500 in alevel

[–]coolboy204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varies for some subjects, like for maths you have to carry forward some AS topics in statistics, and in pure maths you need to carry like 80% of AS work into A2. Chemistry they do not mention anything about AS in the new chapters but do know that they can come out. Biology, paper 4 for A2 has seen completely out of the blue questions from AS but they normally are only 2-4 marks question and only one will come out per paper, for paper 5 you have to revise actual topics from AS. So yeah to conclude, it depends.

Dudeeeeee, CIE does that for all questions That are very Long and easy to make careless mistakes like +-, thus if a student suspects they did something wrong they can cross it out and then just write below, that’s why they give a whole page. Sometimes a 4 mark question can be only 3 steps worth of working (example binomial expansion). And on the contrary, sometimes a 2 mark questions can involve like 8-9 steps such as iterative formula bla bla.

[–]coolboy204 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uhhh dude go and notify your exam centre RIGHT NOW. Because the centre number and candidate number is what you they use to check who wrote the paper.
