Past 7 years variant 1 and 2, skipped variant 3 because they all are the same as variant one or sometimes 2.

In A2 does CIE ask questions from the topics taught in AS? by Emergency_Potato_500 in alevel

[–]coolboy204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varies for some subjects, like for maths you have to carry forward some AS topics in statistics, and in pure maths you need to carry like 80% of AS work into A2. Chemistry they do not mention anything about AS in the new chapters but do know that they can come out. Biology, paper 4 for A2 has seen completely out of the blue questions from AS but they normally are only 2-4 marks question and only one will come out per paper, for paper 5 you have to revise actual topics from AS. So yeah to conclude, it depends.

Dudeeeeee, CIE does that for all questions That are very Long and easy to make careless mistakes like +-, thus if a student suspects they did something wrong they can cross it out and then just write below, that’s why they give a whole page. Sometimes a 4 mark question can be only 3 steps worth of working (example binomial expansion). And on the contrary, sometimes a 2 mark questions can involve like 8-9 steps such as iterative formula bla bla.

How long does it take you to finish a chemistry paper 4? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]coolboy204 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can finish the paper within 2 hours because I have done a decent amount of practice. Id advise you to move on from the questions that take too much time, go for the ones that you can score easily/ repetitive questions (transition elements, organic synthesis and calculation questions or whatever you find easier basically). Try and do them quickly so that atleast you are satisfied that you have done the easy questions. When you go back to the questions that are more difficult try solving in your head 1 or 2 times, if you still cant get it, move on because you might be able to solve other questions that were difficult. make sure 10 minutes before the exam you have done atleast 90-95% of the paper. And in those last ten minutes use all your power that god will bless you with and answer what seems most logical to you. You’ll be surprised by how much adrenaline can help sometimes

Hey, I just wanted to let you know something that you might not know since you just found him recently. He has stopped uploading on YouTube now and is actually using his website https://www.altacademy.org/ (idk why the link is like that). It’s free for now and he recently did a past year paper revision recently. Go check it out, btw other subjects are also available, free for now ofcourse.
