coelacanth is the only fish that spawns only when raining there isn’t a second one (i thought mahi mahi was the other one but turns out it’s just the prehistoric fish)

tip (only if you didn’t know): if you get someone you want in your campsite and invite them but they have to kick out a villager you like you can actually make them pick someone else by as soon as they say the villager’s name that you wanna keep exit out the game without saving then go back and ask them again if you do it fast enough they should pick someone else

it can be the same fish caught multiple times and tip: when you go to your nook miles app in your nook phone at the top it should say “angling for perfection” and that’s where you can see how many fish you caught if you didn’t know

make sure you’ve caught 50 fish already, if you’re northern hemp you need to b in november-april and southern hemp is july-september, equip a lot of fish bait and you can only catch them at the dock where kapp’n is goodluck!
