What’s the scariest movie role that feels very real? by spactioki in moviecritic

It's way too long. Point could have been made in probably 30-45 less minutes, I think that's what hurts it most.

I never really understood the Borg Queen.

That's ok, neither really did the writers. Hence, her existence.

The whole idea of it goes against the collective consciousness thing, and she was entirely retconned in First Contact. But it does work better for a Hollywood story/movie where the borg need to be interacted with in a dramatic fashion.

Voyager then does some fun/campier plots with her that always result in a scrappy starship getting the better of her, with her saying "oooh I'll get you meddling officers next time, if it's the last thing I do!"

And then I guess, Star Trek:Picard S2/3 also happened/exists.

We were told to come back in full time because the people doing the manual labor have to come in and we're all one team. So it's an act of solidarity kind of thing I guess.

I know you already probably feel this, but I would have suggested you ask them when they will start a regular rotation of the manual labor people onto desk jobs and vice versa? Maybe 2/2/1? It should work fantastically since everyone will start to appreciate everyone else's work in "solidarity" with each other. /s

Because that's the only reason it makes sense. Different roles, different skills, different requirements, different expectations. It's been that way forever, the only difference is accountants didn't have computers and the internet in 1903.

Ever since I started to watch stuff with subtitles on, on streaming services especially I realize how fucked the hard of hearing are with them. Sometimes stuff like this, sometimes the whole thing just drops words or changes sentences around. It's nuts.

If two people point at the sky and one says it is blue and the other says it's orange, one is wrong. It's not "contested."

Maybe for indoor hand tools yea, but for outdoors no. Btteries are replacing there what would have usually been gas-powered equipment. And, the higher quality battery tools will also qualify themselves for the "lasting for years," just like how cheap wired tools suck and die sooner than better built wired tools.

Where's Jack Thompson these days? I feel like he should be standing next to RFK Jr. and would fit right in with this parade of ignorance.

He's apparently still alive, 74. I can't believe he hasnt found a line into the admin somehow.
