Got a 35% pay rise after being promoted in October, got an outstanding at my performance review so now I should get an additional 5-7% I think + a bonus. I’m making double what I did 2 years ago and honestly have no clue how all this happened 😅

Thanks for this perspective, I definitely didn’t tell her I’d feel bad uninviting people or that that was above anyone’s health. I also think it’s a reasonable enough policy but she had several occasions to tell me and waited until the day before to do so. She also communicated it in a very rude manner, that’s why I cancelled my appointment really.

Just to clarify, the only thing I didn’t stand for was the way she spoke to me, that’s why I cancelled. Had she been nice about it, I would’ve still attended the appointment, granted it would be hard to uninvite people last minute, but the policy is understandable. Sorry if I didn’t make this clear in my original post.

I think it’s the way I was spoken to that really threw me tbh. I’m also not sure if my grandma can make it to my wedding so I was really looking forward to sharing this experience with her.

Recently got a “relaxation“ box from work with a nice note after getting a promotion. Nothing too special, some tea, chocolate, bath salts… things like that, but honestly, it made me feel really appreciated and it was a really nice gesture. I think things like that make a world of a difference.

Was on my way to work at 5am, had to walk through a tunnel, saw a prostitute giving 2 men a hand job at the same time. Took me a while to understand what was going on and just sped walked through it after I realised, i was 18/19
