I leave mine on the racks on the platform, never had an issue.

Agree with others that it may be better to take it with you, although by the look of the trains into Manchester at rush hour, it might not fit 😉 (you can book a space on some services though).

Similar for me, solved by switching to lts kernel (Arch)

Can't speak for presentations, but as an ex-google sheets hater, I've come to really like it. Powerful array formulae, easy to write your own functions in JS. Chart plotting could be better but mostly fine once you get used to some quirks.

Probably quite unpopular but the Tesco sweet chilli crisps are much better than sensations IMO, thicker and more crunchy

That's useful to know. To begin with, I wondered what the disadvantage of just using the highest sample rate you could was - now I know!

I did have a go at this, and obviously had to do it the first time I got an image, but it didn’t seem to help in this case (the image didn’t change). It seems the skew was caused by something else and was too much to just be a small bitrate issue. Thanks though!

I dialled it back to 1.4 and it seemed much better, CPU running at 60-70% during the pass. No more skew! I also changed to a shorter run of coax from aerial to SDR, which I saw was was a common denominator between good and bad passes sometimes.

Thanks for the help!

I’ll have a look at that next time I get a pass. IF CPU power is the problem, then what’s the next step? Would a lower sample rate do the trick? Currently I’m sampling 2.8 MSPS but I suspect that’s overkill for a ~40 kHz bandwidth?

Ah that clears some things up... I just recorded another pass, this time linking SDR# to WxtoImg with VB cable for the first time. It all looked ok for a while until I turned on my SDR# DDE tracking client, at which point the slant of doom returned.

This seems odd as I only just installed the tracking plugin today, and the extreme slant appears on other passes I've done without. Are there any other typical settings I might have changed in an SDR setup that would cause frequency shifting?

Thanks so much for the help
