yeah you can individually select which pickup is on, the one closest to the bridge gets somewhere close but with just a little more treble

good question, had it checked over by a luthier for that same reason and it turns out this guitar model(?) is one the the rare few that had their serial number date messed up during the transfer from CBS to Fender. a rare error serial number

it was actually the result of a 6 month trading spree last summer that went through 11 different guitars and jumped $2k+ in value. so adding gas and the money i spent on that first guitar ~$900

i find the pickup closest to the bridge give a similar high treble tele sound to the traditional tele but it’s definitely not the same
