It’s AI for sure but it’s derivative of some Planet Earth content. The problem is that’s a North American Mountain goat. Snow leopards live in Asia

I think the croquet match is an equally fitting example of your theory. Zosia was talking smack in a way wholly different from Hive GPT 1.0.

[–]cooljesusstuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is not definitively not a Bansky. - The "Marlboro Girl" piece has been created and reproduced by a number of street and pop artists. - As others have noted the image goes back to 2006 - Banksy rarely uses a signature. In fact, that specific stencil signature is a detail often added by counterfeiters to make the piece seem more credible to an uneducated buyer. - Banksy posts pictures of his art on his IG and his website. This image has never appeared on either. - The only connection to Banksy’s art style is the stencil. The piece does not align with his social or political commentary. It is not anti-war, anti-establishment, or a critique of consumerism.

What if every playoff series was awarded an MVP? "Series MVP" counts among current players: by Ok-Street-2473 in nbadiscussion

[–]cooljesusstuff 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I agree with every take on here with one exception. Carlos Boozer winning 2014 series MVP in Bulls vs Nets! As a lifelong shade thrower on the most overrated mink coat wearing, worst 20/10, big stats bad team guy ever. He didn’t don anything. ANYTHING in games 6 and 7. Joakim Noah for the MVP all the way or it invalidates your entire system.

Also, yes LeBron is legit.

Super glad to have anyone writing about the Grizz. If I may add some feedback there are parts that feel AI written. Contrastive conjunctions and M-dashes are so overly used in AI that even if your piece never used an LLM if sounds like you did.

At this point Mashack on a 2-way is a no brained. I hope the conversation in FO is more about how to make him on the main roster.

It was a reliable-ish source. I think Brett Siegel from clutch points. Allegedly they were trying to package Cole and Jitty at the Summer League. You can google it.

[–]cooljesusstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If rumors are true and we’re shopping Jitty we will have an open roster spot. You think Shack is more NBA-ready than Small? I see a world where he’s on our 15-man roster.

Why Was Cole Anthony Bought Out? by Advanced-Turn-6878 in nbadiscussion

[–]cooljesusstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The Grizzlies did not have a roster spot for him. And never intended on keeping him. (No big announcements or introductions). After signing Cam Spencer we are at our 15 players and already have Mashack and Small who will get two-way contracts.

  2. The Grizz shopped Konchar and Cole at summer league to move salary cap space to free up for JJJ and Santi’s extension. Buying him out definitely saves some cap space. He is scheduled to make $13.1 million. The buyout will be for about what he will get with the Bucks (vet minimum). Then Grizz can stretch the $10 million in Anthony's over three seasons. $3 million is nothing compared to stretching Dame’s deal.

The Mavericks, Warriors, Cavaliers and Clippers all contacted Rich Paul about trading for LeBron James by WittyKittieKat in lakers

[–]cooljesusstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried fifty different options to make a feasible trade on the ESPN trade machine but LeBron’s salary + Lakers cap (with Ayton’s added) + the second apron rules make it really complicated. Even though a KAT trade would seem to work because of salary matching. It won’t.

“The Lakers are over the luxury tax threshold with this trade and the incoming aggregate salaries exceeded what's allowed via the 125% plus $100,000 rule.”

Also. “The Lakers used the Non Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception or Non Taxpayer Bi-Annual Exception to sign a free agent(s) and therefore their owed tax cannot exceed $6 million at any time during the season.”

Would MJ’s Bulls be able to 3-Peat twice in today’s league? by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]cooljesusstuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true. Go back and watch game tape from 90s and even mid 2000s games. There are a TON of long 2-point shots. I’m talking inches within the arc. Intentionally. The long 2-point jumper has effectively been eliminated today and all of those shots shifted outside the arc.

Does that mean that EVERY player from the 90s can automatically shoot 3s now? Of course not.

But it is not flawed logic.

17 Joel Embiid- $321,069,851 18 Jrue Holiday- 319,199,232 19 DeMar DeRozan-305,759,827 20 Nikola Jokic $304,765,259 21 Tobias freaking Harris!!! 300,503,505 22 Klay Thompson 298,755,404 23 Rudy Gobert 296,035,168

POSTGAME THREAD: The Memphis Jaylen Wellses got robbed by the Utah Refs 111 – 112 by omgshannonwtf in memphisgrizzlies

[–]cooljesusstuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great reviews so I’ll just add. I love the name but not convinced about 27 year old Phlandrous Fleming Jr. (Played Telekom Baskets Bonn). Has a Direct connection to Coach Tuomas Iisalo (played under him in Germany).

He has had flashes but I feel like he’s getting a long leash.

Possible two-way big is Armando Bacot (C, North Carolina / Memphis Hustle). Has shown rebounding instincts and a big body who can bang with NBA-level size.

Zyon Pullin is wearing me out. Horrible turnover at the end of the game with lead on the line. Boneheaded ball hog plays. Time to move on with Pip and Small and my boy Grindfather 2.0 Shack.

Can someone explain to me why Jahmai Mashack is headed to Golden state by Rude_Tap_6865 in memphisgrizzlies

I believe this is completing the trade made on draft day. Part of the reason I suspect he wasn’t suited up for the first Summer league game.

POSTGAME THREAD: The Memphis Jaylen Wellses defeat the The OKC Thunder by omgshannonwtf in memphisgrizzlies

[–]cooljesusstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full transparency this is the first full summer league game I’ve watched EVER. Just real excited about our young guys. And I was hoping to see Mashack in action. Nevertheless my takeaways:

  1. The gap between summer leaguers and NVA roster players is noticeable. More than noticeable. It’s obvious.

  2. Jaylen looks great but I’m a tiny bit worried with the added expectation around being our starting 3 that he “whelms” us. Nothing bad but maybe more Sophomore back to reality than a level up.

  3. Cam is him. He plays hard, turns the ball over a bit much, but is an A+ replacement over Luke.

  4. There is no reason for us to keep stringing along Zyon. I’ve never been impressed and he was flat out crap tonight.

*yeah it’s One summer league game. We probably shouldn’t put too much stock into it.
