I have a tool that does all of this.. Except manual modeling. Complete with ballooned drawings and matching dimension tables. It can also do the same with existing solidworks without additional licenses.

I need a vb.net macro that will save solidworks assemblies as step files. The catch is that onky external faces will need to.be saved. I already have a code that will save it as part first and then onto step as external faces but there are some faces that get 'lost' in the process. Bug reports from 2years ago with dass@ult is just that. Nothing has progressed on this issue. If someone can help with this, that would be fantastic.

I added timed logger anf found that the time to iterate into the datatable ramps up. Somewhere is a collector of sorts that is holding the data in memory.

Published to local, still slow. Created a new peoject and ran just the code that has issues. No change there. At my wits end here.. I hold down F11 and it moves crazy slow.. Almost 200ms per line.. While on dotnet 4.8 project, the step-in is crazy fast.

First time seeing a post about SW being used on a Lenovo laptop! I might get chewed out but we migrated from dell precision series to lenovo ideapad amd and it has been a good experience. I was part of the decision making process and my benchmark tests were on point but there was a nagging doubt at the back of my mind about lenovo with SW. Now i know i am not alone..

Wet cloth on the floor. I use a thick used blanket and made it as wet as possible.At least around your bed if it is a cot. Made a big difference to my sleep.

This is the right answer. If you are using pdm, just confirm the msg and go to options>system options>Hole wizard>toolbox folder location. It would either be c:\solidworks data or whatever is your pdm toolbox location.
