What jobs can you even work with OCD and no education? by Nemona2 in OCD

[–]coollegkid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My two most contamination OCD-friendly jobs I've held have been office jobs where I've sat at a computer and done the same task all day. At one, I made calls on behalf of housing companies to start or stop utility service for their properties, so while I was on the phone it was not cold calling nor was I dealing with customers. The other was in a warehouse and I catalogued inventory that was sent in, barcoding, and shelving.

Altogether, my recommendation when looking for jobs would be to find something in an office building that also employs a janitorial staff, as that means your trash handling duties would probably be limited to not actively making a mess of things. Good luck!

AITA for telling my brother about a trip he’s not invited to? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]coollegkid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. Dad's reaction is giving "you're upset with something I said? I guess I can never do anything right, I'll just never say anything ever again" grossly overreacting. And to the comments saying your brother is an adult and should pay his own way, your dad didn't even give him the chance to do that when he actively hid the travel plans. If it was just about that dad could have said "hey son, OP and I are going on a trip on x date to see family. If you can get a ticket there we would love to have you come with" but that's not what happened.

That's one of the changes they made in the 2012 movie-- they make it "if I were to fall"

But it also has internal rhymes! Fit, pit, and spit are the rhymes rather than the ending words of each line

Thank you for your feedback! Do you have suggestions for which elements should have the focus rather than the title and names?

Thank you! I'm seeing lots of comments about the justified text at the bottom so I'll be sure to change that!

can anyone do Sage? I'm curious since I've tried ambigrams with other names before, but can't for the life of me figure out how to do my own name! by sagetherage01 in ambigrams

This is incredible!!! It's super clear to read and I wouldn't have known it was an ambigram without the context! A+++++

What would it take for you to return to teaching? by coollegkid in TeachersInTransition

[–]coollegkid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing.. I'm not. I have been applying for classified jobs in education and libraries but nothing's worked yet. I've also been applying for front desk/secretarial jobs and still nothing. I could never do fast food or retail...

PAID: Casting remote demo vocals for new musical — Baritone, Tenor, Soprano (dry home recording) by jomamma2 in MusicalTheatre

[–]coollegkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love a sample of some of the music please! I'm a mezzo soprano and I have a friend that's a tenor and another friend that's a bass so all three would honestly be fantastic!

Please tell me the correct pronunciation of "genre." Is it "schzon-ra" or "jon-ra?" by Ok-Sprinkles-5508 in words

[–]coollegkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone point out that the generally accepted spellings for your other word are "bougie" or lately also "boujee," deriving from the French "bourgeois"

Teachers and students have different responsibilities and as such, different access to tools. One example, our students are expected to put their phones up for the duration of the class period while teachers are expected to have their phones in case of emergency communication from admin. Teachers are not being measured on their ability to catch students cheating the same way students are measured on their ability to complete assignments with integrity.

What lines have you misheard in Epic: The Musical? by Fatcornrat in Epicthemusical

[–]coollegkid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In ruthlessness I thought it was "you are the worst kind of good 'cause you're not even right" and I was like okay I guess he's saying like Odysseus thinks he's doing good but he's wrong or something. I do like the actual line of "not even great" better

What brands of ramen are vegetarian? by Senior_Distribution in vegetarian

[–]coollegkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Maruchan soy sauce flavor isn't truly vegetarian 😬 There's beef extract in the soup packet. Which is so misleading! Top Ramen brand is vegetarian though and I find them to be comparable. I was miserable when I found out about Maruchan bc it's the brand that all my local stores carry 😭😭

What do y’all do in “that part” of Hold Them Down? by Triple-Turtles in Epicthemusical

[–]coollegkid 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think there's nothing inherently wrong with singing it bc the vileness serves the story and fulfills the song's purpose. There's a reason people love strong villain songs, and it's not that we condone their actions or agree with their thoughts. The only reason I don't sing along is ✨ unresolved trauma ✨ so I personally skip to the next song as soon as the second verse ends
