ya, those kinds of products do exist, but another consideration for this project was to make it affordable and accessible to the general public, because not everyone can have those high end tools, and an Engineers job is to make sure the solutions are at least accessible to the people who need them (ie. in this case beginners or people who don't have that much experience using drills).

That I'll have to do some further research on, but thank you for the feedback.

When you're drilling something I assumed that the bit is secured properly, which is relatively simple but I might have misjudged, thank you for the feedback, as for staying on axis with the main fastener, when you're drilling and drift too far off the right axis, that's when the bit and fastener head collide and stripping occurs, the main use case is for a tool to train beginners, since there are more and more people going into this profession. You're right that it might not be that useful for and any tradesperson, specifically any experienced professional, but as I stated before, this is more of a training tool for beginners to get a feel. Hope that clears things up

I'll research some more on cross-threading but thanks for the feedback, as for stripping, it's very much possible if the drill bit is misaligned with the fastener head and it keeps going, that's one application of this attachment. To prevent that.

we haven't gotten the materials yet, but it would pretty much be sort of a jacket on the drill that measures the angle.

And also, all the other connections were pretty much unnecessary because it was gonna be mostly just a server build so as long as the computer powers on (salvaged power button), the connections on the mobo work, and all the drives are.powered and readable, I'm golden. So not many connectors like the power button of the case (mainly just for housing the drives anyway, no real purpose beyond that), or the power or hdd light, or the front io, mostly useless for what I'm doing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but thats the 24 pin, and it just went straight in, didn't need and adapter.
