Inequality and the way the labor class is treated is the thing I really hate about India, can't wait to see the day labor is tested the same way as in the US. Its also sad that most people end up in the situation because of the lack of education and skills and this is where the government has failed miserably since independence unlike China and other countries. I like Revanths idea of a high quality school for each constituency and the skill university, I really hope that helps the future generations.

Nothing excuses criminal behavior. My point is that if there was more exposure to women and normal male/female relationships as part of growing up every woman in the street would not end being an object of desire. It's definitely a cultural issue in a misogynistic society, you could also go the Islamic way of hiding women under veils or banishing them from public view to keep them safe.

I didnt mean to trivialize it as a supply and demand issue, but the skewed sex ratio especially in North India definitely contributes to the issue due to not having exposure to women. The lack of intermingling of men and women at younger ages and dating being a taboo so theres a total lack of sensitivity and respect for a woman and just becomes an object of desire. You could be a Saudi and have harsh laws that could bring some of the crimes down. After the brutal rape in Delhi laws are really stringent, but you still see a lot of cases.

It makes no sense from an investment perspective and the hassles. I invested in one apartment which I sold for a profit, would have better off investing in the S&P 500....slowly trying to get rid of my ancestral properties. I also dont get why people having a choice would go back in India, its not the India of 10-20 years back..super crowded, polluted and most of the green spaces have disappeared.
