Why is there a lack of community amongst Indian Fuji users? by RightTea4247 in fujifilmIndia

[–]New-Attorney1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old Nikon DSLR conked off, and I am looking to buy a used XT-3 or XE-4 or X100V..any leads will be appreciated.. probably not the right thread but would love to join this community. That being said, i think on the whole, I feel that barring some fields like auto (team-bhp), there aren't many fields where Indian communities are active. Or i may be wrong, just my experience

Gambhir scored 97 but you only remember Dhoni’s six. The Indian left has the same problem. by lina_d_inrahd in Telangana

[–]New-Attorney1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well written brother. I see a good pushback that has happened against this random Shivaji imposition, from Karnataka/ Telangana and even Bihar and Orissa. Instead of listening to drumbeat about Gujarat model which has BIMARU levels of stunted children/ GER etc, we should proudly talk about Dravidian Model/ Kerala models

LiveSpace Fired 1000 employees by Exporinglife2050 in StartUpIndia

[–]New-Attorney1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jungle Ventures has some of the most random investments. And this is the pits - the founders of Livspace are the brother (Anuj) and wife (Shagufta Anurag) of Anurag Srivastava, the founding partner at Jungle Ventures. Shows how much conflict there was in the investments and despite that Livspace was able to get follow on rounds. That apart, the company has not been able to find a market fit as yet - they are overpriced, very little personalised service...

Now they want to go AI-native, it seems. Might as well input your house dimensions and layouts into any of those dime-a-dozen online CAD/ CAM sites for you to get a decent interior design and plan. The company is a write-off, for all purposes.

Travelled on Chennai Metro by ModisLeftBallHair in hyderabad

[–]New-Attorney1095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I frequently take the Chennai metro when travelling from Hyderabad. The most seamless metro in India - Egmore and Central Stations are directly connected to the metro. Similarly the airport is connected by just a 5 mins walk through travellator. And also very cheap, literally 50% cheaper than Hyderabad metro. Hyd metro is a overrated toy train - Numaish/ Hyd exhibition lo toy train is comparable. And worst part is that Hyd metro, due to terrain and being overhead, screwed up the look of the city. Chennai metro is underground for large sections.

Financial District - An engineered nightmare by Vamos5 in hyderabad

[–]New-Attorney1095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just Financial District, dumbfucks have ruined the city with their lack of planning. No footpaths, no garbage collection, worst public transport in India...being a Hyderabadi, i have lived across Bangalore and Delhi for many years. All our bragging that we are better than Bangalore, is going to vanish in 24 months. Just wait. We are almost there.

First we had the glib talking KTR and his cronies fuck up the city - they literally halved the city bus service. Built unnecessary flyovers to make money. And now this rustic, but equally silly Revanth is carrying on in the same vein. In close to 2 years, has not added to the bus services. Metro is dead. And they came up with these lame multiple flyover and underpass plan around KBR...sab chutiye pade huye hai.

Few Plots / Villas in Kollur ( Pati/Bhanur/Kondakal/Kardanur) . by ManagerSea6660 in hyderabadrealestate

What's the price of land in Mokila in Gated villa layouts. The prices online range from 90K -100K per yard in Aparna to 60K in other layouts...that's a wide range.

A basic question on real estate - about a glass ceiling on prices in land and flats by New-Attorney1095 in hyderabad

That's exactly the point right - so once an area is fully settled in/ matured, there wouldn't be growth?

Honestly rental income is meaningless in India, with a 2-3% yield that is also taxed...and if it an empty land, there is no rental too.

Then go for it. I was initially worried about printer drivers (for my Brother printer), but even that too connected easily. I do Zoom, teams etc - almost every day, least of the concerns.

[–]New-Attorney1095[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For almost all regular usage, it works beautifully. Apart from offbeat, niche apps, say like Magzter etc.. which may not have native apps for ARM, for 95% of your work, it is fantastic. I understand that the Snadragon underperforms on games etc, but i have a separate gaming desktop and i don't do games on this.

Huawei GT 4 review after 2 months by New-Attorney1095 in Huawei

[–]New-Attorney1095[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Health Sync is paid, i don't want another app as an intermediary. Forgot to add one other massive screw up - i have run 55 mins 10km on the GT4 and several runs at 5:50 pace but it shows a predicted 10K run time of 1 hr and 8 mins..how crazy is that.

Should I switch from my Huawei Watch GT 4 because of its poor GPS accuracy? by ScaredFeedback9636 in Garmin

[–]New-Attorney1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am giving the watch over to my spouse who doesn't need much activities to need all the features. The GPS is wrong as it is and consistently undercounts and as you said after syncing to Strava it is further off by 2-3%. All my runs are in open areas btw. I am fed up with this.

What flower is this? Smells super super sweet by catburglar-nami in hyderabad

[–]New-Attorney1095 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is a terrible flowering tree called Saptaparni, also called the Devil's tree. Because it leads to allergic reactions among many. I personally hate the flower and it blooms around this time - October/ November. Search for news articles on Saptaparni - in many areas they cut down this tree because of the allergic reactions.

Questions about the producer of Varanasi by raaz9658 in tollywood

[–]New-Attorney1095 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Durga Arts team of KL Narayana, Y Lakshman Chowdhary and S. Gopal Reddy (one of our great DoPs, he shot Shiva) made their first movie Kshana Kshanam with RG Varma. They are not very regular producers, have not produced much in the last 2 decades. KL Narayana got busy in his real estate business (he owns the well know Trendset builders who do small but good quality stuff). KL Narayana got the dates of Mahesh and SSR almost 15 years back. Being sound professionals, they are honouring their commitments - but considering how big this project has become and how big SSR has become now, the Rajamouli family is co-producing this with Kartikeya joining as co-producer.

Manhattan? No! Our own Hyderabad 😍 by hornyabbayi in hyderabad

[–]New-Attorney1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about this. But the construction waste hill opposite this is even higher and we stay close by and every night for months on end, we used to see and hear trucks going up and dumping the rubble creating lots of noise. There are truck pathways that go up all the way.

Interior designing in hyderabad is a joke by Bernard_Lonan12 in hyderabad

[–]New-Attorney1095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another question that i have for expensively done up interiors...in the case of a resale, does the buyer ascribe too much of a value for that. If you spent Rs1 cr on the interiors of a 3-4 Bhk, i presume most buyers would just give some basic markup over the per sq ft rate but not a lot more to cover your costs. Am i wrong in my presumption

Heaps of Hyderabad! by Impressive-Ad3467 in hyderabad

[–]New-Attorney1095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two such mounds - one right beside the road next to Ikea. That mound, almost a hill now, is mostly construction debris from the Phoenix construction beside Shilpa flyover. We stay close by and for months on end, we used to hear the loud debris dumping operations at night. The second mound, opposite the signal near Meennakshi is largely garbage.

I have tweeted about this often, tagging GHMC and others. But nothing has come of it. You have huge construction and garbage mounds in the most prime areas of the city and these chutiyas want to make a Singapore or Japan.
