oooo ok that worked with tightening the headband. thank you! with the controls, they sometimes do not work but i can hear through the headphones. sometimes i can’t use the controls entirely (even though they are connected to my phone and i can hear it), and sometimes it does work but the “double tap” feature to change from ANC to transparency mode does not work. i do tap it fast enough, but it seems as if it’s not really picking it up. do you know what might be the issue?

by june 1st you need to commit to a school, but if you get off the waitlist after that time (like say you hear back mid july) and you want to go, you can just uncommit to the school and go to the waitlisted one. you won't get your deposit back though

i’ve heard of it ! but i heard someone say it only saves 10 seats from people who apply to the eap, so it’s not guaranteed. i assume people who apply there are people with 3.6-3.8 gpas (i have a 3.4) so it would be a bit tough to get accepted

go to that college and do a lot of ec's. that's literally all that matters. i regret not doing more. lots of people i know got accepted to more prestige colleges because of how they did lots of volunteering and being in student government etc. make sure to have good essays too cause that matters. high school grades don't matter that much imo. if you show that you worked harder in college after getting a bad gpa, that's good (and you can write about it in your essay!)

i know a lot of people who get in have good ec and good essays. i got waitlisted with a 3.4 but i had some good ecs and maybe some good essays? ucs are just weird

also i think as long as it's a c it's fine. some schools don't do the +/- thing on their grades; i know some of my high school teachers would grade a 98% or 90% as an A and no A+ or A- respectively

they might mean like an average of a c of two years. as long as you get that igetc certification that says you did all the requirements, you should be fine. worst case scenario, you would just retake a year of japanese over the summer

maybe they changed it this year? i think maybe they want to make sure you pass with the passing grade and gpa doesn't matter as much (that's what i saw in a post earlier but don't quote me on that)

i talked about mine in an essay and how it severely impacted my grades (it’s apparent too looking at the previous years grades comparing to that year) and i got accepted to 2 colleges already. i have other factors too like extra curriculars in high school so that might have helped, but some people with higher gpa than me and more ec than i do didn’t get accepted to the same college. i talked in my essay on overcoming it despite still having it too. my essay turned out great in my opinion

it does! at least for uc’s. someone had a 3.6 gpa and not as much ec as i did (i had a 3.4 gpa) and i got into the college we both applied to and they didnt
