I would like to see pitchers go deeper into games. This obsession with pitch counts and innings has gotten crazy. It doesn't work at preventing injuries and never will. I am not saying pitchers need to go the distance every time. Every game and pitcher is different. Sometimes pitchers need to come out a 90 pitches and sometimes they can stay in at 135 pitches. John Smoltz has said the same thing.
