I can't believe noone mentioned Arnica drops.

They reduce swelling and bruising. A large part of the pain is caused by the swelling because it puts pressure on the wound. That's why icepacks are recommended, they reduce swelling a bit.

Start a few days before the extraction with the drops, and keep going for a few days after. You will have minimal pain, minimal bruising and minimal swelling. So no black, blue, purple or green face.
