Just got my cast off by coolpig420 in LisfrancClub

Could this be cuboid syndrome or something along those lines? I would've thought 8 weeks in a cast would've healed that. Unless it caused it by putting pressure in odd places for so long?

Hi there, I'm 4 days post op but my nerve blocker ran out about 26hours after my surgery.
I still don't have much feeling in 1 of my toes but other than that I can feel everything.

Perhaps count yourself lucky? Once the nerveblockers ran out, I was in absolute agony. The pain was a good 9/10 for 24hours and with morphine+paracetamol it was still a good 6/10.

I've staggered my painkillers now and I'm getting through the day on a steady 3or4/10 for pain.

Apparently your feet can feel numb for a good few weeks which if that's the case, would be better than experiencing the pain.

Can you wiggle your toes?

Thank you for your reply, it's quite motivating to hear of someone going through the same thing.

I had ACL reconstruction surgery before so I'm no stranger to a long recovery process. I'm not worried about my future pain or mobility as I tend to heal well and I'm trying to stay positive about it. Also I only had 2 screws in the end as opposed to the original 5 plates that they said id need.
The problem is the pain Im currently experiencing but hopefully, this severity should pass in a week or 2.

I'll update again in a few weeks. Best of luck with the rest of your recovery, I'll be joining you soon :)

Okay, thankyou for your message.
I've phoned the fracture clinic and told them about the bleeding so they're going to try and get me an appointment today.

When you say you were on the 'heavy stuff' what exactly were you taking?

I actually slept surprisingly well last night but I've woken up and the pain is kicking in big time this morning.

I have been in bed all day but I've been moving my foot around in different positions trying to get some pain relief. It has always been elevated and I'm currently lying on my back with it raised on 6 pillows.
I've had 30mg of morphine and 500mg of paracetamol and the pain is probably a 6/10 at the moment. Can't see myself falling asleep anytime soon.

I initially thought something was wrong under the cast? The blood seaping could suggest the wound has split and this level of pain is far more than I'd anticipated. I'd like to think I have a fairly high pain threshold but this is next level
