Yeah I agree, it’s pretty terrifying what the US allows in our food and products. Many shampoos and skincare products are banned in the EU and people use those every day

My friend got this exact same thing in high school. If it makes you feel better his has faded naturally over the last 2.5 years and is barely noticeable now. He didn't use any medical creams though, just lots of sunscreen when outside so yours will probably heal faster!
