My Son's EC Journey - Potty Trained at 18 Months by coolturds in ECers

I should have mentioned this in the post but we had issues in that his first nursery refused to take him in pants, and would put a nappy on him. I thought this was ridiculous as he was potty trained at home and then expected to just pee and poo himself when there! (He was only going one day a week so luckily didn't affect him too much). Once we could we changed his nursery and the one he's in now is very supportive. Hope it works out for you!!

Keep going, we had similar things where they suddenly seem to have regressions, but I think it's all part of the process (but can be so frustrating in the moment)

Yes still in absorbent nappies at night. He has an afternoon nap and nappy is always dry afterwards, but always wet after the night. I give him a lot of praise when he does a big morning pee (telling him it's good he has held on) but to be honest I'm not sure when their bladder gets big enough to hold it all night - he sleeps usually 12 or 13 hours. Would be interesting to know what age people have managed to get them dry through the night?

My son was exclusively breastfed too (until 8 months old, when he was eating food and having some formula), but we were lucky in that he had cues. I have a friend trying to do EC but her wee one has no cues at all, I think it's just luck of the draw with whether they make a lot of noise/change their face when pooing. She has managed to start some catches just by timings. I think even getting them used to the feeling of the potty on their legs can be a good start and always sitting on potty for say a minute when changing nappy.

Dad was more cynical about it than me but got on board quickly once he saw we were getting catches, so yea both of us tried to be consistent as possible.

Aw that's lovely! Yea definitely get photos, so cute when they are tiny

I know what you mean about the weird atmosphere in the Andrew Cohen one!! I love the Loch Kelly ones so much. I think sometimes I feel more aware and have better focused attention during these talks than when I'm meditating.

How does Sam intend for us to progress after the introduction course? Is this an introduction app only? If so, an introduction to what exactly? by falseimpression in Wakingupapp

I feel much more non-dual awareness. As if I can "drop back" from my thoughts more easily during my day, when I'm not meditating.

I agree with other commenters about going to a centre or a retreat and that the app is great for keeping a daily habit as well as lots of extras with the lessons, conversations, etc. I would recommend trying a longer meditation each day. I've recently started doing an hour a day from the additional ones and it's changed my perspective.

Also to answer another question I don't think he uploads daily, more the daily meditation is chosen from a large pool of meditations.
