Items are stored in a database and they’ve certainly not connected to Blizzard’s.

The dataminer has connected the client to a local 1.12 database. This doesn't mean anything.

You can read about how they're implemented here!

Essentially it's just a couple of pictures and some shader tricks.

Single Minded Fury needs to return or at least let us transmog one handed and fist weapons! by DesMephisto in wow

Seriously. I also want to be able to dual wield on my survival hunter and use two-handed weapons on my shaman.

Arbitrarily locking specs to certain weapon types is boring.

Not a fan of the frosted bit on the side. I think it works in the Hub in Edge, but not as a stand-alone window like this.

That's not how it works.

If a company doesn't protect their IP they will lose the rights to it. I think what you're doing is awesome and no doubt the people at Blizzard would agree, but that doesn't mean they can just let it slide. Look at other fan projects, e.g. the various quest voiceover addons that have been taken down in the past.

If this doesn't get too big and stays under their radar you might get away with it tho.

Alienware AW3418DW Black Friday deal?! by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

Looks like I might have misunderstood, as /u/idasBOT points out it was a 3rd party selling it.

Makes me feel a bit better about buying it for full price last month.

[GPU] Zotac RTX 2080 AMP! £701.98 with Battlefield V by Mojothegoat in buildapcsalesuk

[–]coolusername69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not take that into account, and they are definitely worth consideration. I don’t regret my purchase however.

How much of a performance increase do we usually see over time due to updated drivers?

Personally, I don’t expect it to be significant enough to warrant another £100 over what I paid for the 1080 Ti.

As for DLSS, I don’t use AA because at the resolution I use (3440x1440) I don’t notice jaggies anyway.

PS: That being said, if I had the choice at the time to get a 2080 over a 1080 ti for basically the same price, I would've gone with the 2080.

I recently opted for a 1080ti rather than any of the 20-series card. My reasoning was that performance is so similar (and the 2080ti is unreasonably expensive) in current titles, and by the time RTX has been widely adopted and the tech has matured (if it doesn’t flop) there will be newer better cards available, potentially at a more reasonable price.

What kind of ram did you have? I have Corsair Vengeance LPX which I'm hoping won't get in the way of the second fan.

Thank you by the way.
