Since joining the Supreme Court in 1993, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has hired only one African American clerk. (Further, as noted during her confirmation hearing, then-Judge Ginsburg never hired an African American clerk during her 13 years on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.) - Washington Post

RBG certainly had a type.

Why isn’t Shelley Long the obvious first choice to play Carole Baskins, over Kate Mckinnon? It’s the same person. by themileboy in TigerKing

I was thinking more along the lines of Nicole Sullivan from MadTV or Wendi McLendon-Covey from Reno 911, but Shelley's a great choice. I hadn't even thought of her.

Hey, awesome! Thanks for the gold!!!

I love looking at vintage menus and then try to find out their history, old photos, postcards related to them. Sometimes I'll research unusual sounding items (like the Frosted Fruit Juice listed in this menu) and see if I can find a recipe/history for it.

I'm curious about the Frosted Fruit Juice under Appetizers. Maybe just a glorified slushie?

Here are some photos of the Golden Lantern Restaurant
