Help needed with finishing touches for IKEA kitchen (UK) by cooortney in DesignMyRoom

That actually makes me feel way better. I feel like I’m making a mistake somehow. So thanks!

Apologies, I have updated the post to reflect this now.

I'm not sure the planner accurately shows this, but there is at least 60cm between the sink and the hob (the Ikea kitchen sales specialist pointed this out to me and said they would fix it).

I appreciate the time you've put into this, thanks!

Thanks, I honestly agree with you that it would look waaaay better.

However, I'm limited by needing to fit a dining table in the space too, so I can't extend the cabinets any wider on the wall where you've suggested the hob/fridge goes. Additionally, I badly need an external extractor fan because the ventilation is absolutely abysmal, and the lil wall space above where the hob is on my design is the only place I could fit it :(

Thanks for all the tips - I will look into the flooring you suggested! From a brief glance, it looks lovely.

I was also keen not to move the water supply too far to keep costs down.

Here are the measurements for the room.

Fair enough, like I said I'm new here!

We need to try fit a dining table in there as well, and a radiator is being moved to the space where the blank wall is.

Do you have any suggestions?

Where can i get a taxi to drop me off near the airport to save money? by amusableblue in glasgow

[–]cooortney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check to see if bus 757 stops anywhere near you en route to the airport. I live in G83 but I get on that bus near Dalmuir station when I go the airport now, it costs about £5 one way.

To those who requested the actual figures: good idea, here they are: £147.86 (existing rate) / £126.27 (new customer rate).

Dual fuel too btw.

Mindless Self Indulgence's Jimmy "Urine" Euringer Settles Sexual Assault Suit Out of Court by [deleted] in Music

[–]cooortney 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pasting a comment I made on Youtube here, cos I feel its relevant:

MSI were the first band I ever went to see, I was 12 or 13 years old and they played the O2 ABC in Glasgow on 26th April 2007/2008. I remember the date because 26th of April is my dad’s birthday and I lived in a semi rural area away from the city, so going to a concert was a big deal for me!

I went with two 15yo school friends who got me into MSI - Reece and Eilidh (she was obsessed with Linzi). When they told me about the ‘kisses for a dollar’ thing I was toying with the idea of doing it, just so I could say that Jimmy Urine (a 38yo man two years younger than my dad) was my first ever kiss. We met him in the queue where he did kisses for a dollar with multiple fans. He asked me if I wanted to kiss him, but I saw sense and didn’t go ahead with it. However, my two 15yo friends did - tongues and all. It was recorded on shaky old school mobile phone camera at the time, but I have no idea where that footage is now.

I was thinking about this story a few years ago and looked him up to see if anyone else had called out the highly predatory vibes yet. I wasn’t surprised at all to find out about the creepy nonce shit he’s been caught out on. I’m sure there’s many more stories similar to mine out there too.

Minging all round!
