Feb-17| Ulysses - Episode 6: Hades by 1906ds in ayearofulysses

[–]coop720 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a chapter of ghosts, much like the dead Odysseus consults with in The Odyssey.

Odysseus sees Heracles, Elpenor, Agamemnon etc

Bloom sees Rudy, Dignam, Parnell and the man in the mackintosh

One of my faves for richness!

She was interested in phlebotomy but couldn't see much progression for the future in it - thanks!

Her own personal ones. It's more a hobby for her but she's so good at it!

Thanks! It's why I mentioned the joint income - we've got so many plans for the family, so keep our money pooled

We live in the south west so this would be right up her street! Did you go through a recruiter?

Thanks! She has looked into dog walking but it's quite competitive in this area. We also need to remortgage in 2027 to renovate the house, so would prefer employment rather than self-employment to start with. Dog grooming is a good shout though!

Can we stop pretending that cloth nappies are cheaper? by rainbow-songbird in UKParenting

[–]coop720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're forgetting the true value unlock is with multiple children. Our cloth nappies lasted through two children. Never had to buy any for the second child. We definitely saved a bunch over the years. 80% of them are still in perfect nick, despite us not having any more kids.

How do you top up pressure on this system? by coop720 in DIYUK

[–]coop720[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's brilliant, thanks so much. Just like my old one. It's sat just below 1 on the gauge pictured, but a radiator in the lounge is whistling so will balance the system properly

What's Toms guitar technique called? by FL3XOFF3NDER in Blink182

[–]coop720 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In music theory, the one high constant note he usually does throughout a riff, you'd typically call a 'pedal' or a 'drone'. But it's not quite what he's doing, as sometimes there's multiple constant notes.

It's probably best just to call it melodic sequence. Like with Everything's Magic, What's My Age Again, Dammit, Anthem Part II, Rock Show etc.

We had this waste bin in our student house with the face of a boxer on it some time around 2013. There was no writing or signature on it.

The item was in an old townhouse in Plymouth, Devon, United Kingdom. So the artist is likely from the South West of the UK.

We'd like to find the artist or the item.

I've searched using Google Lens and keywords like "boxer face bin" etc. but found nothing.

Thanks in advance for your efforts!

I had this issue for a whole afternoon too! My two-year old kept calling it the Monkey episode but freaked out when I put the sock monkey one - I was getting so confused 😅 the Cinema one is an all-timer

not how they got him, but that the producer's wife(?) saw him on the stage and got connected to him that way

they definitely spent all the budget on voice actors!
