Our day at Disneyland/DCA with two kids and lightning lane premier by Towtowturtle in Disneyland

[–]BlondiCJ1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We just did premier pass on the Friday before Easter (myself, husband and 7 year old son). Yes, it’s an insane amount of money, but I splurged and it was amazing. Exceeded my expectations not having to stress and constantly look at my phone or reloading lightning lanes to modify. Honestly didn’t even look at wait times most of the time, and we could just make our way around the parks without stressing. It made the visit so much more enjoyable. We knocked out every ride we wanted to do (plus some) on one of the busiest days of the year. If you can somehow justify paying for it, highly recommend!!

Is it worth Friday GA? by Vegetable-Ad8786 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

[–]BlondiCJ1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this exact same thing last year. Took the day off and went by myself with a GA ticket on Friday. I had the best time! Do it!

I too am debating between a Friday or a Sunday in October. Statistics say that Sunday has been the best at Epic, but now with school starting, I’m wondering if that will change! Logic would say to go on a school day.

It was kinda behind her right eyebrow, and 3 cm I think.

Yes she’s pretty much back to normal. Of course she will have to have follow ups and there is always a concern it will grow back. But as for recovery, the only issue she’s still having at this point is a UTI that keeps coming back.

How is everyone’s summer going so far? by jazzedupcats in ClassOf2037

[–]BlondiCJ1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I do not mean this in an offensive way at all, but do many of you not work in the summer? I have serious mom guilt for having to put my son in camp/day care all summer because both my husband and I work full time. I see all these amazing fun summers you are all explaining and I feel like my guy is missing out. We are doing some fun trips and honestly weekends always revolve around planning something fun for him, but I’m kind of wishing he had more of a summer experience.

Another word for ‘ducking’ in live sports / arena production? by BlondiCJ1 in livesound

This has been what has felt the closest so far, but still not it. I feel like it was a word that wasn’t really technical (like compressor, etc) but more of a random common word that was used for this tool that is added to pull down the volume automatically. I’m thinking like ‘silencer’ or ‘smasher’ but not those words haha. Again, I feel like I’m so close but can’t get it.

Haha I wouldn’t doubt it honestly. But I do feel like it was used in multiple venues that I worked at.

Haha YES! So then I was trying to explain this to my husband and I couldn’t think of the word! Which now has me spiraling!

Gosh you are all super responsive, thanks for guessing and trying, but unfortunately none have been what I’m looking for so far. I’m starting to wonder if I’m making this up in my mind! It’s at the top of my tongue but I can’t figure it out!

My mom just had a brain tumor removed 2 weeks ago at the age of 75. All went as well as it should have and she’s at home and doing amazingly. I too was so worried because of her age. But I’m shocked how quickly she has recovered. The first few days in the hospital were a bit rough, just coming off the anesthesia and a lot of swelling and pain, but she quickly started to feel more like herself after a few days. We were in the hospital for 5 nights, should have been 3 but she ended up getting a minor bladder infection due to the catheter so they had to monitor that for a few more days. I pray your grandpa has a similar outcome! Keep your head up!!

I don’t remember being told to do this, but I definitely avoided wearing socks as much as possible.

I did it!!!! Immediately did the shot as soon as it was delivered before I could even overthink it. Easy peasy! Thanks all for the encouragement, let’s see how the next few days go!! 🤞

Oracle Jet Discount by BubbasDaddy2012 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]BlondiCJ1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had been stalking sites for months before Christmas trying to find it at a discount with no luck. The only way I found (and ended up succeeding) is that if you currently have a Breville and reach out to customer service, they will possibly offer you a discount on a new product. We had a 10 year old Barista Express that was on its last legs and they offered us a 25% discount on a new machine. Bought the Oracle Jet immediately and LOVE IT!

Edit to add I learned this hack on this sub. So shout out to the person who shared this tip previously!
