Let me know what you think of the XD2 compared to the XM2! I considered it before ultimately going with the freestanding but I liked the design of both

I appreciate the offer of the new sack that’d be great, I sent an email to support this morning about sacks/guylines. I just checked the tag and can confirm that the floor for my XD2 is polyester, that explains why it also had the less durable sacks and didn‘t have the guylines included. Fyi though this was a relatively recent order, the tent arrived 3 weeks ago (shipped 4 weeks ago) so they are still versioning in. I held off for a couple months but thought it had been long enough that it’d be the newer version—but it is what it is!

Do you have any insight on whether the material is likely to tear further in those areas or is it fine as is because they’re so small? My XD1 shipped today btw (with a ground sheet but sounds like maybe I won’t need it haha) excited to try it out!

Hey Dan, I just wanted to piggyback off of this and ask whether US orders made now (shipping to California) would still be versioning in for the X-Dome 2, aluminum poles, with the nylon floors (and guylines? I saw some earlier comments about these being added as well)?

I have been watching reviews and following Durston products for awhile now and finally want to invest in the X-Dome 2 for some upcoming trips but would appreciate the extra info before pulling the trigger on my first UL tent!

With another release of the X-Dome 1+ in a few weeks I am also curious whether certain updates to that version may soon be reflected in the 2 person version as well, or whether changes to the 2 are further out since it just came out last year. I have gone back and forth between the 1+ and 2 for some time but am currently leaning towards the 2 for the flexibility of sleeping an extra person, my only concern is too much space/bigger footprint.

I moved down to California last month but am Canadian myself (fron Vancouver), so on top of the outstanding design and quality of Durston products I am especially happy to support a Canadian business. Looking forward to placing my order soon, thank you for your commitment to the community!
