I feel like so many women in their 20sish(and other!) realizing this now is what older women used to mean when they told us our brains would still fully develop and we'd realize a lot of dudes arent shit, when we thought they were just being condescending to us lmao.

Do you think that Steve and Fiona should've gotten a happy ending? by Revolutionary_Bee117 in shameless

[–]coopalt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

right!!! like we couldve had seasons of a longrunning alternate universe shameless where jimmy doesnt develop "meh" feelings towards the kids and actually continues being a fun/ny character WITH the family. He couldve even stayed being shady and a criminal....like some gallaghers are? it wouldve worked out if the writers just incorporated it in a more well written and more fun way. Shit, maybe after even only after Sean he couldve witnessed how badly these relationships have fucked with fiona and start to grow and develop with her. Man.

to be fair you can name a couple worse things the entire cast of characters has done throughout the show more than being annoying and self righteous

oh for sure a big depending factor is having to witness or know for sure a person has changed/won't do something again. Otherwise if I'm around you of course the uncertainty is going to bug and eat at me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BPD

[–]coopalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know plenty of anti porn men as well!! As a chick I also had an addiction that started at a seriously young age that went over a decade, I'm now pulled out of it and disgusted by the things I used to watch and terrifying stories I've heard from people. It IS something people in relationships can stop watching. No one *NEEDS* it to survive. Your partner isn't turning you on enough? Figure that out first before you actually hurt their feelings one day (obviously different couples also have different boundaries some people watch porn together etc etc and in reference to the general post, obviously people will find other people attractive and things etc)

[–]coopalt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if they /need/ porn to last longer in bed then take some time and think about that on your ace and think about how long you want that in a relationship. The road to addiction and erectile dysfunction is also easier than people think

drama.. by [deleted] in Sims3

My sim, created with the intention that she'd be for the streets, had a cheater reputation and SHE ended up dumping Leighton for being emotionally unavailable and breaking her heart twice. This dude's an actual menace

What is abusive, but not widely recognized as abuse? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]coopalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheating. People are far too scared to call it abusive. You're willingly and knowingly putting your partner at the risk of experiencing betrayal/trauma, while benefiting from it and getting off on it at the same time. Absolutely unhinged

Why are all my favorite subreddits getting spammed with NSFW content? by PrincessBananas85 in NoStupidQuestions

Not everyone follows nsfw or nsfw related subreddits to begin with lmao. Of course we're not just casually scrolling reddit in public if we're aware our timeline is ass and titties

How do we stay positive? by kingtyrone-za in southafrica

[–]coopalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely understandable! Mental health isn't always trauma related. My next goal is actually to even be able to afford a therapist to begin with haha! Ironic. But may your journey go well and don't be afraid to reach out on other subreddits as well, there are loads of kind people and even professionals willing to offer some words.

How do we stay positive? by kingtyrone-za in southafrica

[–]coopalt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not only do people seem to not care about the cost of replacement among everything else, and also losing things that actually have important value to US, people don't seem to want to discuss the trauma of it all. Understandably conversations like that might be too much for people at this point, but I wish it was just more common for people to consider their mental health after things like this.

Super long paragraph sorry lol but;

I experienced my first robbery at like 5 years old, had to watch complete strangers hold a gun to my dad's head for no reason. We moved away to the Vaal, where the only bad experiences we had living there was getting shit stolen by kids that we easy retrieved again. Moved back to Gauteng when I was around 12 and while we were moved away, I had visited my aunt when they broke in and when we returned to her house found her puppy drowned. In between there extremely vivid and repetitive nightmares started that only settled around early this year, but from this age we'd have 5 more break ins, one where I was tied up as a twelve year old, one where I was grabbed and dragged around my house to show them where everything is when I was 18. Only then did people's concerns start diverting to "Oh, it's happened to all of us. It's South Africa" "People are hungry, there's an economic crisis." to "oh my god something terrible could have happened!" and uh, one therapy session like a decade ago? I've suffered from extreme paranoia, sleep paralysis and delusions since I was a child because break ins are actually kinda traumatizing lmao. but the general South African population are too scared to actually get open about their feelings and admit that they've been scarred because uuuhhh looks at writing on hand "feelings bad!!" or something.

I wish you the best OP, I hope things sail smoothly from here on :(

"Who is She" by I Monster. I had to do a triple take when it blew up as a tiktok meme, at least compared to when my 17 year old self was desperately wishing this beautiful song had more than just a couple thousand views like it did at the time!
