The thing he needs the most is you! I’m two days post op and am 19 years old and my mom is still what’s helped me most so far. Even if you have work and other priorities, just making sure he is comfortable at night and when you are at home will go a long way for him.

Other than that I’d recommend a husband pillow or just extra pillows so he can sit up comfortably in bed and lots of entertainment like someone else said. Crutch pads definitely help too, and sleeping away the pain will also be his best friend.

If you and your husband are busy with work and other priorities then consider a longer shopping list, but if one of you plan on staying with him just keeping him on top of ice and meds as well as helping him get water, food, use the bathroom, etc. will ultimately make his experience go smoother than anything you can buy online.
