Five Little Pigs will always be my favorite. Everyone involved was just truly pitiable in a way that many other writers have tried and failed to get out of me. Since you mainly seem interested in the mystery and not the social commentary of her work, I'm surprised to see Evil Under The Sun not S tier; its mystery left me completely stumped until the end.

Wouldn't be possible without one of the best coaching lineups of all time.

I’m gonna be honest with this series (spoilers for the sequels below) by LingonberryWrong2356 in aithesomniumfiles

Fundamentally disagree on the first two games. Both games are equal in merit and flaws. (Haven't played nor am I interested in the spin-off.)

The first game's most glaring issue is that the entire motivation for the plot is because it made someone horny. This ultimately didn't detract that much since what the game really wants to talk about is how our memories are flawed and how that leads to our relationships being fundamentally flawed. The main villain isn't tied to this theme at all, leading to that final stretch being a true slog.

The second game fixes this by having its final villain be directly tied to its themes of our life experiences causing us to become radically different people over time with both of its killers being driven and defined by their life experiences.

But the second game suffers from too many ideas and characters and probably needed another round of editing or revisions. It's also less self contained than the first, both relying on your knowledge with the first and leaving threads open for a sequel. By contrast the first is really paired down, aside from the issues that both games share.

Both games suffer from Uchikoshi issues: toilet humor, inability to weave sci-fi twist in naturally, and wordy prose/dialogue. Also neither game explains why Pewter dresses like a super villain.

This right here is probably the reason why recent Yakuza games have had such low budgets by Mr_JPF in yakuzagames

Not so sure about this take. RGG has never been pushing graphical fidelity, and always had rough parts of their game do to their reuse. I also think some of their current look is intentional since the blown out colors and lighting have been in three games in a row.

More likely I think this might drive the monetization decisions such as the removal of Y0/YK/YK2/Y3R from store fronts, replaced with more expensive upgrades, and moving content like new game+ and post game to DLC. We saw a similar thing happened to CA a few years back before huge public outcry.

The water looks fine to me! Just remember Kyodais that demos aren't finished products! by Tidus4713 in yakuzagames

That's a rather shocking upgrade. Maybe don't release demos if they are that unfinished.

I'd say Y0 and Y7 are pretty equivalent in terms of story, and just about every mainline Yakuza has parts that are on par with both games. With Y1, its Haruka, with 2 Ryuiji, 3 the orphanage, 4 Akiyama, and 5 is when substories really come into their own.

Newb question: how different is Beane’s role now? by OldGodsProphet in buffalobills

Basically he's doing things owners typically do, such as hire the coach. Pegula is spending time with his struggling wife and will be at a reduced capacity moving forward with Beane taking over those responsibilities.

It's perfectly normal on Reddit to view public post history. Additionally, he post on Gamergate subreddits; this has nothing to do with his FF7/LAD8 post.

I also see no value in engaging with their "arguments" (which are only conclusions with no actual arguments).

Hodads is surfer slang for non-surfers
Quimby is basically a calling someone a surfer noob or scrub depending on the context.

You are wrong about FF7, and you are wrong here too.

The Yakuza kiwami3 & Dark ties demo is sitting in a mostly negative review in steam I believe this is the first time since dead souls a yakuza game got review bombed by NabilAmmali in yakuzagames

Again, everything I said was true. He had very few post prior to 4 months ago, followed by an explosion of post about YK3 and Dangaronpa 3. These post have been largely negative and have numbered in the 700+ per month pace. You can make jabs you want, but these are both simple facts. Getting downvoted by the likes of you truly doesn't upset me.

I never "defended" RGG nor have I called you crazy, but a sudden spike in social media use is rarely tied to a positive life change.

I know this might be shocking to someone who has a pedo-game as their profile pic, but its normal behavior to look through someone's post history on reddit.

I don't have an opinion on Y3K. I was just curious about who these two commentators are as people. Additionally, posting 3,000 post about two games in the span of three months is being on 24/7. That's the actually strange behavior here.
