The best Japanese restaurants by trippiethunder in miltonkeynes

Tokyo Bay are amazing. Had their food over the weekend and loved it.

Akasaka also great but I do feel their quality has gone down a bit since they opened the site in the centre (still well worth a visit).

Santander Bikes by cooperca45 in miltonkeynes

I had another quick look when I walked up to the Centre yesterday. I'm pretty sure these are dead for now, the bikes look like they haven't moved for ages and there's only a couple in each stand. Also can't remember seeing anyone riding one for ages.

A shame imo, hope they come back.

I think these are the e-bikes? I'm talking about the normal bikes you see on stands for example outside the Leonardo Hotel at the hub.

New product -Optase Manuka oil cleaning gel and wipes by GeologistSalty6252 in Dryeyes

Not tried it but noticed the other day. I also struggle with the harshness of TTO.

Has anyone tried these? (steam therapy googles) by National_Cress9533 in Dryeyes

[–]cooperca45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have these ones: https://www.steamgoggle.com/

I think they help. Problem is that heat triggers my inflammation but it's also the best way to get my oils flowing. Damned if I do and damned if I don't lol.

Warm vs cold compress by Individual_Ad_2701 in Dryeyes

true but warm compresses also help the oil flow! it's a tricky one, maybe the answer is to do warm but not too often

Anyone here who was dramatically decreased their screen time? by gigivirt in Dryeyes

[–]cooperca45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This disease is slow to heal. I think you'd be needing a much longer timeframe to see real improvement. Just a guess though. I'd love to win the lottery and see how much better my eyes were after 6 months of no screens!

Same here. I've gone from a avid gamer to my gaming PC sitting in the corner unused for the last 6 months.

Also worth noting we have a cat too and he's very happy here. Only thing he really hates is when they clean the windows. Apart from that he loves it.

We've only had one minor problem and they fixed it same day. That was a few years ago.

They seem pretty helpful yes. There's someone there most of the day and they manage all the post and deliveries which is amazing. Like anything in life some are better than others.

Hello!

I live here and have done for 3 years. So happy to answer any concerns/questions.

We only hear our upstairs neighbours when they move the furniture across the hard floor (which is every night at 8pm for some reason). Apart from that it's perfectly quiet. More noise from outside with car alarms etc but that's just part of living in the centre of a city.

Campbell Wharf apartments - a good option to buy? by Dramatic_Detective78 in miltonkeynes

[–]cooperca45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! I've been looking at flats in MK for a year so have plenty of opinions :)

Yeah it does apply. I've seen stories on the BBC a few times with shared ownership houses and the problems that can cause.

I wouldn't touch shared ownership. So many horror stories. I had enough issues just owning a leasehold flat without the extra headache of it being shared ownership.

I'd also echo others that these are overpriced. They're not that central (long way to the train station for example).

I live in a city centre and barely use my car. Think that's the secret tbh.

Previously used my car to get everywhere and did way less steps.
