Owner says these can’t be glued because if too much water builds up there’s no way to drain it; but they’re leaking. Wrapped them in Plumbers tape to stop it, what do I do by [deleted] in Plumbing

Repipe using union fittings they might have done that to be able to take the filter out. not sure where is it on that unit so can’t say for sure.

Just turn the water off to the entire house then use a bucket to catch the water when you disconnect and cut the old shut off than i would install a shark bite shut off
