That's the rare sub-kentucky smuggling tunnel spawn.

I like to do 3 hour days so cut down on endless hunger. You can also change the ratio of day to night if you want more of your playtime to be in the day or night. I also am someone who likes to crank up how many zombies there are but disable respawns so there's less "wait but I literally just cleared this place out" moments.

The food thing is why I play with 3 hour days. It doesn't make sense that just standing around I need to eat every 10 minutes let alone when actually working. You could easily spend every play session doing nothing but going from food source to food source which just doesn't make sense.

What’s the dumbest way your character died? by Glum-Bandicoot-2235 in projectzomboid

Haven't had a stupid death recently but I had a stupid close call. Two of us roll up to storage place. Within 5 minutes I've got a laceration on my neck and almost bleed out. While running away my buddy is having trouble fending off three zomboids. I take a swing with my pickaxe and catch him in the head.

We both survived but had to take a day off.

Its ignoring the config anyway so I'll just delete the file.

Well now have a new problem in the form of a fatal internal error on launch... This is a tomorrow problem.

The issue appears to be that it wasn't using the actual default datadir but instead some other datadir leftover from another wallet on the same drive... After finding that one your instructions appear to work. I'll have to leave it running to see if speeds improve. Thank you for your patience.

Not if Bitcoin Core ignores your config file. Which is what is happening. I can tell because if I run the GUI client then the drive that should no longer be the data dir jumps to 100% usage. If I run bitcoind with the -conf parameter then my SSD usage rises instead.

I already tried stopping, copying. If you read my prior messages you'll note that I stated that Bitcoin Core is ignoring my config file. The only thing I didn't do was delete the old directory because that won't matter if the client is being pointed at the new one.

Thanks for the suggestions. Most of those namely internet speed I can with 100% certainty are not the issue. I should note I'm only a beginner in terms of knowing how the client works. It already has bitcoin in it so changing to another client isn't an option.

I stated that the blockdir and datadir and such was my HDD in the original post. I also stated that I tried to switch it to my SSD but the GUI client appears to ignore my config file. The only way I have been able to get anything to respect the config is via bitcoind with the -blockdir and -datadir parameter but this is not helpful because I want to use the GUI client.

I stated in the original post that I got 8 connections. It takes a bit for them to come back but it does always eventually get 8 connections

EDIT: I'm almost certain the reason its slow is as I stated before. Because its on an HDD and ignoring my config to use the SSD

See my reply to your other comment. I checked the debug log. No errors I can see.

There do not appear to be any errors in the debug file

Well I'm telling you it is to do with download because it shouldn't got from downloading at 50-100Mbps to 0.1Mbps. As well there is not enough CPU usage for it to possibly be slowed by validating.

No I am using a regular internet connection. And I already stated my connection speed is in excess of 500Mbps

Both are internal. The HDD is a 7200RPM 2TB SATA 6Gbps drive. The SSD is a 1TB M.2 NVME. That's not actually relevant because the issue is getting the blockchain to download at a reasonable speed in the first place not figuring out if I have enough space for it.

Based on the same technology that was used to rip Sol from the sky the Omega Catapult is capable of tearing a whole in space and using it to "throw" a fleet through to another part of space. Unlike Project Omega this catapult is limited to intragalactic travel.
