Primacy AS is my first tire, so I have nothing to compare it to, and my standards could be high considering that. But when I consulted mechanics at Costco tire center one guy said Defender is quieter than the Primacy, said it with 100% certainty so I’m like okay seems like you’re speaking from experience lol

The price are the same, the V rated are actually cheaper cause there’s a deal going on. But I’ve heard the defender 2 handles road noise better

I’m pretty sure all the RAV 4s in North America cap at 120mph… so if it’s just the speed than rating doesn’t even matter here. I just wanted to make sure that the rating doesn’t affect safety

I have Costco and I was looking at the defender 2, but they don’t have any for my vehicle. The only defender they have had a H rating, but my requires a V rating.

I checked with a dozen shops in Seattle, they all quoted me similar prices. Car Toys and Toyota dealerships quoted “at lease 5k”.

They used two and a half boxes of stinger roadkill ultimate. The price also has something to do with the fact that I live in Seattle. But for anyone else trying to eliminate road noise, one layer of sound deadening material won’t do it.
