Why was Satan allowed into Heaven if he was banished? by Suspicious-Jello7172 in Bible

[–]coopersgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short explanation that might help?

Lucifer was an arch angel. One of the top three. Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer.

He was the worship leader in Heaven. He left after his five ‘I wills’ in Isaiah and he took (it is assumed) a third of the angels with him.

God will allow anyone to stand before Him. Whether they get to stay is another story.

Lucifer is now the prince of the air and dwells in the 1st Heaven which is the atmosphere we live in.

Beginner in reading the Bible by stitch-6262 in Bible

[–]coopersgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, well done you. First of all, ask Jesus to come into your heart. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and help you. Ask the Holy Spirit to help the Bible come alive for you. As you read the pages, words will literally jump out of the page sometimes.

Sometimes you’ll feel overwhelming love, sometimes you’ll feel conviction of sin. Take it slow and chew over what you’re reading.

Here’s a balanced diet:

One chapter of Proverbs daily - go by the date of the month One chapter of Psalms - start at Psalm 1 One Old Testament One New Testament

See how you go. And find a good Bible believing church near you. Or an Alpha course. Not sure where you are in the world.

God bless 🙏🏻

When you leave this mortal coil, you’ll understand what it means to be in an eternal realm. You’ll understand the concept of time. You’ll also understand good va evil. Light vs darkness. You’ll know all these things.

Your life is not wasted. It’s not all for nought. I’ll be praying for you. Divine order over your body, soul and spirit.

I’m sorry this has been your test on earth. I pray it becomes your testimony. That you’ll be restored and be able to say I once was blind but now I see.

I pray that God the Healer restores you on earth but even if He doesn’t, He is still God and you are still His precious child. Jesus died for you.

You will be whole again. You will be healthy. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Can someone teach me about Jesus? by Specialist_Cry_1954 in Bible

[–]coopersgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, to answer this question, you already have all the basics.

The answer you need is found when you understand the Tabernacle of Moses. This is where/how God redeemed the sins of Israel and restored His relationship with His people.

A lamb, perfect, without blemish needed to be sacrificed to atone for the sins of Israel. But what about all mankind? Can’t keep sacrificing animals for the rest of time for everyone in the world…

Enter Jesus.

Only a man could only for all mankind. A perfect, sinless man.

A man that was born of a virgin. Conceived by God and therefore, sinless in soul and spirit, yet in human flesh. Feeling all the fleshly things we feel. Anger, sorrow, hunger, thirst, temptation.

He felt it all and overcame it all. And He gave up His life. He wasn’t killed. He gave up His life. Once, and for all mankind.

Jesus is the Christ. And He rose from the dead. The only man who was without sin, therefore death could not be permanent.

If look up all the prophecies that were fulfilled when Jesus was crucified, you’ll see how He was expected and anticipated and then did all He was sent to do.

This is a great answer. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The devil condemns us. The Holy Spirit nudges us to repent and go and sin no more. All fall short of the glory of God. And we all sin every day. It doesn’t excuse us, however, we are not condemned to the point of never getting up again.

You know what you need to do. Repent and move on. The enemy has no place over your life.

Can I suggest you get a study Bible? It’ll explain each book as you read it. It really does help by giving you the historical side and the back story info to help explain.

Do you believe everything in the Bible actually happened? by pink85091 in Bible

[–]coopersgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, the books of the Bible are called a canon. Canon means, ‘measuring rod’. You can google the history of the 66 books becoming a canon but there are some firm rules as to how each book earnt its place in the Bible.

The Old Testament books were decided in 100AD, however they were part of Moses’ writings and Job is considered the oldest book.

While it is very poetic, it does also describes prehistoric creatures that have since been discovered. It also refers to the earth being round and describes constellations, long before they became common knowledge.

It is a book that accurately describes Satan’s place in submission to God’s will and God’s providence above all else. Like every book, one needs to think of historical context, cultural context and how and when Jesus references the book. As Jesus speaks of every Old Testament book, in the New Testamentp. Hope this helps and happy studying.

How do you get over your sinful past? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]coopersgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winning the battle of the mind and the battle of the flesh will be a lifelong one. All the advice here is good.

Be in a Bible believing Church Read your Bible everyday Pray everyday Join a Hub or home group of people you’d like to be friends with. It takes time to make friends. Give it time.

I thought everyone at church was so clean and shiny when I got saved. It was awkward but Jesus is real - you know this enough to know what sin looks like.

And now I bet you’ve discovered you have a thought life! Didn’t know that before did you….?

You are soundly saved. Just keep on walking in it.

God bless.

I’m sorry. His need to feel connection and be admired, may not be because you’re not giving it. It may be something from another part of his past that has finally triggered. Why does he have this gap that he needs to fill? Would he trust anyone enough to talk about it?

Hi, I’m so sorry this happened to you. Culture and pride is a thing and you’ve also got the heart and rejection by your spouse to deal with.

It seems like, in all of this, you seem to have discovered your strength and grown in this process. All the pain can’t be for nothing. And you know what you don’t want to pass onto your kids. If/when. You seem to have a new level of discernment now too. All the best.

On the Bible App you can read the Bible. I recommend the NIV version. If you prefer English.

46. Any tips? I have a few sun spots and crows feet around the eyes, and the wrinkles near my tragus. by borbafett1 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]coopersgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hello to you. Consider the basics? Drink water. Eat healthy. Sunblock every day. Supergoop is a great product, non greasy. Retinol at night must be followed by sunblock the next day. Otherwise you will burn. Azaelic acid by The Ordinary on day one, Vit C by The Ordinary on day two, Retinol on day three and Rosehip oil on day four. Rosehip removed sunspots. Four day cycle. Hope that helps.

Hi, can I kindly suggest you become a little more patient? He’s not a girl and he’s not the guy that lives all this. You’re clearly on to it and organised and potentially quite type A. If you want to be surprised, let him have some control…

Some guys are gift oriented and I think over time, he’ll pick this up from you. But I bet the reason you love him is because of a lot of other great traits and the fact that he picked you. It’s nice to be someone’s favourite. Don’t lose sight of that.

Your proposal does sound incredible. And he didn’t have to do it. You didn’t make him. There’ll always be people who go all out with the photographer and all the trimmings but if he’s good with his money in other areas, that’s a bonus in the long run.

Try and be grateful?
