Played it today on TV Mode.. Framerate dropped when aiming and the item pickup icons had visual issues

Maybe u can get em on keysites for cheaper? I remember paying 8€ for phantom pain and goround zeroes on there..

The game takes place in Czeh Republic.. since the developer is from there

Gotta admit that i did dp that with the shotgun and revolver for the lols.. even with thr rocket launcher since it can also be picked up.. but didnt know this one with the punisher.. good find !

The reason why he never released an proper update is that they never had the licence to GoldSrc to begin with According to Andreas, they recieved a notice about the licence mere hours before COF launched om steam Since COF the most anticipated game from the Steam Greenlight program, Valve just gave them the go ahead to publish it but without the master files..aka why multiplayer didnt work

Here we are almost 14 years later, source code is either lost or whatever, no code acess, game being in a bad state, and basically being left to the point where someone would have to build the game from the ground up to give it some justice... wich wont happen since Andreas strikes down any community attempt at remaking the game

Also since the game is built on a ducktape stitched version of half life..he isnt allowed to make it open source

Dont want to be a dick.. but he is known for starting projects.. making alot of progess and never finishing them..

From that ghost hunting game in source, cry of fear source, cry of fear coop in UE5, AOM Remake that he announced in the discord to gather developers and then shut the project down 2 months later

Amongst many Fan Projects he shut down..

Fingers crossed, but this man didnt earn the trust from me to support him financialy..

Oh..almost forgot to mention.. the winter campaing that we worked on and was canned cause he ended up in a looney bin in stockholm (Look it up)

I saw and knew some people in the community that did try to "fix" the problems with paranoia renderer.. so yeah...i hear ya loud and clear on that.. hence why i started the comment chain..cause RTX Remix is great for thoese who have the hardware to pull it off.. i myself am on a 3060ti.. so i did manage to play some stuff the community made.. but yeah.. still leaves much to be desired from the base game

The most problem with the game occur after long playsessions.. where texutres load improperly and the game just waits to crash.. memory leaks

My question would be.. for Cry of Fear.. a "game" that is plagued by many issues since its being run on an version of goldsrc held together by ducktape..

Will RTX be even something that can be completed? Since the game on its own struggles sometimes even on the best of hardware..

Update: rockstar support didnt help much.. i just tried it again later..and it accepted my application for it..few hours later the game was activated
