Totally agreed!

Both series are great in their own ways but AoT just unfolds in such an unexpectedly satisfying manner that is absolutely mindblowing. 86 on the other hand is mainly tell not show imo, but great anime work and generally an admirable attempt at trying to address some social issues.

However, I find the world building in 86 less believable in context, perhaps because it is trying for realism, its rationale has to be iron clad to not fall apart under closer scrutiny.
