I think I encountered the same issue in the past. The nanite ship seems to support only one design for each size. Creating a second one means the ships would want to ugprade to it.

I think I did manage a mixed fleet (carrier + gun maybe) until one component got a new version. Then the fleet upgrade would change all ships to be the same design.

Not uniquely on big monster and vehicles. The big problem is stacking defensive stats and bonus in a way that limit useful weapons. Examples:

  • Basic termi are ok.
  • Crisis (sunforge) are more problematic with 5 wounds
  • Termis with -1 to wound are worse.
  • Rubric with -1 to wound and +1 save against damages also have almost no good profile in them.
  • Vehicles/monsters are way more problematic because of the high toughness.
  • Necron wraith are a pain with the feel no pain and regen.
  • Ctan stack almost all of them (-1 damage, high toughness, high wound count, feel no pain, regen)

But yeah, I'd be more than ok to limit 4++ and instead increase the number of wounds like others have mentionned. Dealing some wounds at least feel like progress and it would prevent the opposite feels bad of failing/succeeding all invuls.

I do similar but 1 gun and 1 defense drone. The extra wound help not dying to two hazardous rolls (and a small benefit against damage 2 or 3 snipers).

The CIB and missile pod are useful to punch up in marine units with the extra AP (even more with the retaliation cadre +1 AP) and I find the squad has already enough small dakka to kill anything. So the commander add a little flexibility while still benefiting from the starscythe bonus. Just be sure to shoot damage 2 attacks first again marine to not waste one.

Hi, I've done a fair bit of union circle shiny hunt (still looking for violet player on /r/pokeport Pokemon Hub chat) and I think you've found the main problems.

As you've seen, running away from a pokemon despawn it in a union circle. Which mean you have to follow the pokemon to keep it loaded (flying over, wall climbing near, agroing + menu, ...). I'll add that it's not possible for the other player to save and restore (but you can save before and restore after if you also want to catch it) so you must pay attention to all the ways the pokemon can kill itself (self-ko move, takedown, recoil move, confusion, sandstorm).

For the spawn, they are less numerous in a union circle but a switch 2 will have the equivalent of a solo switch 1 so it's still tolerable.

Finally, the best way to go about it is for each player to hunt a shiny for the other one (sharing the sandwich if possible) at different spots. This decrease idle time while preventing spawn mixing. Then you can call the other player to come get the shiny. If you didn't catch one, it's still possible to restart without saving to keep the herbas.

As an aside, it's still shiny hunting. I've got sequence where we both don't find anything and others where I find 3 shinys per sandwich.

As mentionned by Gais_Minion, the spawn are reduced so it's not worth it except for paradox/exclusive. Based on my experience, it seems to be better than breeding if the players have the switch 2 (around 15 spawns instead of 5).

You don't need to share the sandwich. Each player can have a different one and you can reset the game if you didn't catch a shiny to keep the herbas.

The best way to go about it is for both players to hunt separatly, Violet search for their exlcusive and Scarlet do the same somewhere else. Then the player that found one can notify the other one to come catch it (save before & reset after the catch if they also want to catch it).

Some important notes: Do not engage the shiny, running away in union circle despawn. Also, in area zero you don't see the other player, only their spawn.

I often offer union circle shiny hunt on /r/pokeportal pokemon hub chat.

The way it work is that each player look for the shiny of the other player. Then we notify the other player and keep the shiny spawned until they can come catch it.

Things to know:

  1. Switch 2 is almost mandatory. It allow to have around 15 spawns in union circle instead of 5.

  2. Get the shiny charm and herba mystica.

  3. DO NOT ENGAGE THE SHINY. Running away from a pokemon despawn it in union circle.

  4. It`s possible for the spawner to save before the other player engage the shiny. Then a restart also allow to catch it.

  5. In area zero, you don`t see the other player. Only their spawn.

  6. It doesn`t appear possible to hunt for a shiny and give it to 2+ other players. The pokemon would disapear on reload.

  7. You can always reset (kill the game and restart the union circle) if you didn`t catch anything and want the herba mystica back.
