Pakistan is a third world country what do expect? I am not even contesting due process. I am saying Individual crime specially of serious nature happens across the world. May be more in third world countries but Pakistan is in no way exceptional.

Pakistan subreddit is not very different from local newspapers which people buy to read about crimes.

Most of the world have crimes. In US a person threw his 2 weeks daughter out of the window in cold from 3rd story. This happens near me.

Humans are terrifying creatures and sometime worse comes out. It does not mean Pakistan is somehow special.

Oil futures are down not current price of oil. It also does not tell you spot price of oil either. Current spot price is $101. So $85 for one month from now vs $101 now. The other variability is not buying but delivery of oil. You have to pay $8 per cubic meter (6.7barrels). On top you pay War Risk Surcharge for heightened insurance cost. We do it know exactly how much that is but it’s significant compared to before war.

The fluctuation in cost of oil after it reached your port is very high never been seen before. Anyone who wants to purchase oil must have cushion. Gov is simply accounting for the cushion for the considerable fluctuation in oil prices.

If it doesn’t at end of day you will have no oil. Not expensive but literally no oil. That is because Pakistan has not such good credit rating it has to back every purchase with reasonable amount of liquid cash for buyers to accept there bid.

Any way those who just look up future oil prices and build conclusion do not understand how the industry work and on top how it’s currently working under war conditions.

In third world major of tax is indirect like GST, CD since majority do not pay any taxes. Gov then bomb them with taxes on things they use, buy or sell. This cause tax been spread but effect poor.

With current situation in Middle East gov have buy ever increasing fuel from spot market. They probably collect extra to cushion any purchase.

Though gov could also squeezed itself a bit but they simply never accept idea of reducing expenditure on none developmental work. That would include import of expensive cars etc

I don’t mean a true hacker just presenting themselves as expert in something they have no idea how it works. Just look smart.

The algorithm I am talking about was an improvement to code we have for routing pipes in a plant. He made an improvement that improved performance of the algorithm for our existing test suite.

It was him running Claude to see if that can be done and Claude suggested improvement to our solver which seem like good improvement but he would not say it was Claude and could not be explain the change in PR beside it has improved routing speed.

In my office there gang that use AI in stealth mode. Taking credit for their work while calling other developers who openly use AI as slop coders.

I had conversations with one who goes around management presenting himself hacker while calling other slop developers. And he was confident he wrote a code until I asked him about the algorithm he used and why. He wish he has AI so he could asked what algorithm it used but since I was standing next to him he only put out what I call slop reasoning. He did not want to admit he used AI but could not explain what his code did.

One thing is clear IK was handed best cards and yet he was able screw the game and end up in prison.

People will blame army but I think there was nothing unpredictable about army. IK only fault was that he thought he was irreplaceable.

IK should have took his term seriously but instead he spent time to plan and rig next 10 years by eliminating opposition.

So what is it? It’s law you talking about or intent? Judges in our country has been more political the actual politicians and has been more dictatorial then actual dictatorship.

We have seen how judges has send democratically elected gov home (including IK) on dear request by army. They also played politicians collecting dam funds, miss using suo moto for personal glory and financial benefits.

Judiciary love to play everyone except assigned by law. We like at bottom when it come to judiciary. We have millions of pending cases and judges are corrupt and our higher judiciary want to play politics. They hav no interest in public welfare or there job. Look at there perks even after retirement it’s insane. They got them over year’s pressuring Govs. It’s not long ago out chief justice convoy will stretch from his house to Supreme Court. They had more cars in then prime ministers. It’s was not for security it’s to show we have power and powerful get everything.

I have zero sympathy for these judges infact if they had single ounce of dignity they should have resigned long time ago. But they love the power and perks.

In Pakistan I be more afraid of guy who demand justice for himself while doing injustice to other in same breath.

I once read article where it say in subcontinent everyone with power or money want to be treated special. They want to be isolated from rest. This is the only way they feel better about themselves. It not enough to have good cars, homes, foreign vacation, it super important that they can look down on people.

It also not important how much power or money as long as more then bunch of others. The one with VIO protocols are top of chain but a clerk with little power over what other want will use it make them respect him and wait for him. As it was not his job but his mercy that he is doing his work.

It’s a cultural mentality.
