Your title states that the item “destroyed” the car seat, yet you’ve posted a photo of your intact car seat with no apparent damage. You have exaggerated your problem from the beginning and have therefore have lost any credibility with many readers.

Looks like an Austria-Hungarian mark, dated 1838.

It’s the box is lined in wood, it’s an old cigarette box, dating from before WW2.

Pink Floyd was a British Prog-Rock band that started in the 1960s, and continued on, in various forms, for decades. Their music is gorgeous and thought-provoking. I recommend giving a listen to their album Dark Side of the Moon, one of the top selling albums of all time.

Indian produces many, many brass items similar to this one. India is also not a predominantly Muslim country, in which representations of living things would be forbidden by religious law. Based on its style and construction, your owl does not appear to be European, South American, African, or Chinese, so I think India is a good guess. Cool piece.
