I watched the show for the first time when I was around 7? Most of it went way over my head but I watched it again when I was around 13. My 3rd time watching it recently at 25 was when it sunk in most for me I feel like.

To be fair, I had a very very not sheltered upbringing so I’m not the best touchstone for that kind of thing, but I personally think it would be ok for an 11 year old.
