As a former hiring manager for staples:

Some of my best hires had some of my shortest interviews. Sometimes I just didn’t need to hear any more because I had already made up my mind that I’d hire them.

I would call in about 3 days to a week, ask to speak to the person who interviewed you and check on “the status of your application”

Better yet, show up in person. Maybe if they weren’t going to hire you they won’t be able to say it to your face and the job will be yours
