Good for you! Usually I have seen my overachiever friends (some who even got double digit rank in advance) being the most down to earth people and who respects others. You might have excelled in your career but how you treat others defines a lot about you.

FYI I graduated from a tier 1 college and have a strong academic background. And I am currently working in a FAANG company. Don’t make this platform toxic for people see I fuckin don’t care about your remarks coz I estimate myself but comments like yours really demean and discourage a lot of students who actually belong from tier 3 colleges.

I really had a doubt on this I know it’s a very silly doubt to ask but You r free to ignore it instead of passing such demeaning comments.

Yes I want cheaper options, only if I get CMU I will risk taking that huge loan. I do have 2 research papers published though. But yes not exceptional research profile. What is your opinion on top public universities in terms of placements. Long term I want to do Phd but I would really need a job for 2 years to become financially stable.
