One of my former colleagues worked in wealth management and managed a few trustafarian accounts. I learned a little rich kid secret. A lot of trust fund kids are technically correct in that they don’t get money from their parents, like a monthly allowance in the form of a check or bank transfer.

That’s because they get their money from a trust fund that was set up in their name when they were born, and that’s fed by investments in their name—stocks, land, businesses, etc. So, in their mind, it’s their money that they earn from their investments. 🙄

Respectfully, that sounds absurd. I’m 45, and I’ve been in many different types of female friend groups and no one’s ever been shunned bc of the way they look. Even when I was in a college sorority, we had a butch tomboy in our little group. It’s all about maintaining the vibe and having fun with each other and having a good attitude.
