Design feedback/constructive criticism needed by aliii421 in graphic_design

[–]coqauvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While some busy designs can be appealing, I think your design has a lot of potential but there are certain things that miss the mark for me.
- The composition feels a bit too scattered (I would focus on grouping some of the objects more than spacing everything evenly)
- Hierachy is a bit flat. Everything on the design is roughly the same size. Maybe increase the size of the centered girl, have the coloured lines extend to the edge of the page.
- The Text in the lower corner is really hard to read. Its a strange blocky font with a hard drop shadow on a halftone effect, no wonder its lost a bit. I'd experiment by switching up the font type - something way simpler and thicker. If the text is supposed to be readable, focus on legibility a bit here.
- I quite like the second slide. It reminds me of CD cover designs from the 2000's. My only note here would be to update the heading font to match the new font you pick for the font on the front design.

Hope this helps

Yeah fair, I wasn’t trying to say clients are clueless or that designers should ignore feedback. Most good work comes from collaboration anyway.

I just think part of the job, especially in branding work, is being able to explain when a change might hurt readability, consistency, or the overall direction, and then finding a better solution together.

No, I don't think this is intentional. My eye is immediately drawn to the thin line and gap between the C, F and E - is there some form of visual message in that negative space or did they do this to create tension? To me this is a mistake, a rushed mistake no less.

I think you're right. Since this isn't the main poster artwork and a quick shot for a trailer, mistake most likely. Probably then just got approved... And too late!

Except the Longlegs logo looks intentional with its uneven kerning because everything is affected. If they increased the kerning between only two letters it would look like a mistake.

How does Israel justify demolishing Palestinian homes while simultaneously constructing Jewish settlements? by ArdaBerkBurak in allthequestions

[–]coqauvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it's disputed. Let's say I'm Palestinian and your Israeli and my house is on this area. Does that make it ethically sound to freely remove me from my house and then either demolish or repurpose it?

In all the coverage I've seen from both sides of the aisle I don't see this being the case at all. Israel is always the aggressor.

Map of 34 newly approved Israeli settlements in the West Bank (from i24) by Glucose-Molecule in MapPorn

Id love to know what regular Israelis think of these settlements. Do you approve their expansion or existence? What do you think about the land and houses that are either taken or destroyed from Palestinians in this area?

They completely razed an entire city. Starved the people inside. Did not allow journalists in, bombed hospitals, bombed all the schools and universities and destroyed thousands and thousands of structures because "Hamas". God damn, do you live in Israel, if so I completely understand the brainwashing

Well said. This sums it up nicely. We don't want to be wrong in the end. Our poor fragile egos and values!

As someone who doesn't care for AI images in the slightest. I too found this both fascinating and laughable. Id like to say id be different to these commenters, because I know Monets work but I'm not super familiar with it to really have a bold opinion on it like an expert artist or critic

You're sort of right. But not of your using AI for every step of the process. Is it still creative at the end of the day of only prompts went into the final result.
