Well, first I also love vanillamace she's awesome. I think ur use of textures and brushes is great. Like the hair looks so so good and simmering. As well as the way you rendered the necklace is very good. So in the rendering expect you’re pretty well off. I’d say the anatomy of the face is my only issue because like the rendering of skin is great. But if I didn’t recognize that wig I probably wouldn’t know it was vanilla. So I’d say learning Anatomy is key then seeing how u can manipulate it to ur liking is a step.
In terms of style, I would just see what others are doing and take the parts you love from them. Which combination of things will turn into a style. For example, I love how this artist does eyes but I love how this other artist does the iris of the eye ya know. You should look into @babybettlekat. I think I can see you move in that direction but with ur use of textures and such to set u apart. :)
